Shank Martin, 91, of Salem, died Sunday, March 10, 1996, at Richfield Nursing
Center. She
was retired from Samuel Speigle Furs. She
was preceded in death by children, Louis J. Martin Jr., R. Kelly Martin and
Billy G. Martin, and a brother, Joseph R. Shank. Surviving are two daughters
and sons-in-laws, Edna (Angel) Martin and Robert W. Staton
of Salem, and Aileene Martin and Jay G. Harrison of
Madison Heights; a half-sister, Rachel Craig of Blue Ridge; 11 grandchildren,
and numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral
services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, at the Lotz Salem Chapel, with the Rev. Dean Lindsey
officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will
receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Lotz
