Funeral services for Anita Lopez Gipson, 88, of San Francisco will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday, April 17 at St. John Baptist Church in Van Vleck, Rev. Ruben Newell pastor and Rev. R. N. Pointer eulogist. Burial will follow at Burial Association Cemetery in Van Vleck. Visitation will be Friday until 9 p. m. in the chapel of Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home. Mrs. Gipson was born in Van Vleck Monday, May 23, 1910 to Allen Lopez and Mite Perry Lopez. She died Monday, April 5 in San Francisco. Mrs. Gipson is survived by her nieces, Dilcey Williams and Hattie Sanford of Bay City, and Sarah Stredic of Beaumont; and nephew, George H. Ward of Centerville; also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers will be relatives and friends. Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home. Funeral services for Anthony Hall, 88, of Palacios, are scheduled for 2 p. m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 1995, at the Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. L. V. Harvey officiating. Burial will be in Association Cemetery in Van Vleck. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p. m. Friday at the Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home chapel and a wake is scheduled for 7:30 p. m. Friday at the chapel. Mr. Hall was born March 5, 1906, in Eagle Lake to Henry Hall and Mary E. Gaines Hall and died Jan. 1, 1995, in Matagorda General Hospital in Bay City. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ollie B. Hall; seven daughters, Margaret Times, Brenda Hall, Alma Flowers and Ollie Brown, all of San Antonio, Gwendolyn Hall of Texarkana, Karen Courtney of Bay City and Alma Jeanette Hall-Lee of San Francisco, Calif.; three sons, Albert Hall Sr. of Houston, Elbert Hall Sr. of San Antonio and Michael Hall of Bay City; two sisters, Polly Hall of Eagle Lake and Caroline Spencer of Sacramento, Calif.; three brothers, Henry Hall of Palm Springs, Calif., Dave Hall of Houston and William M. Hall of Sacramento Calif. and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary E. Hall; two daughters, Barbara Hall-Jones and Linda Hall Davis; five sisters, Gladis Allen, Modesteen Stovall, Velma Hall, Annie Laurie Davis and Alma Shirley. Pallbearers are Michael Hall, Artis Hall, Allein Brown, Pravis Times, O'Neal Courtney and Calvin Murphy. Honorary pallbearers are Albert Hall Sr., Albert Hall, Jr., Joseph Vaughn, Elbert Hall Sr., Oscar Brown Sr., Anthony Flowers, Jessie Southall Jr. and Michael Southall. Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home of Bay City.

Funeral services for Bobbie H. Hayes, 71, of Houston are scheduled for 11 a. m. Saturday at Enterprise Baptist Church with the Rev. A. H. Pointer officiating. Burial will follow in Van Vleck Association Cemetery in Van Vleck. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p. m. today at Green's Mortuary. Mrs. Hayes was born Oct. 27, 1919 in Markham to Robert and Reanic Williams Higgins and died Dec. 7, 1993 at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Houston. She was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Wiley and Bobbie Polk of Houston; a sister, Viola Matthews of Bay City; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services for James Russell Hayes, 62, of Blessing will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998 at the Free Zion Baptist Church in Blessing with Rev. Ben Hadden officiating. Burial will follow at Burial Association Cemetery in Van Vleck. Visitation will be Friday until 9 p. m. at the Duncan Roberts Funeral Home Chapel. Hayes was born in El Maton, Saturday, Jan. 11, 1936, and died Sunday, Aug. 30 in Blessing. Hayes is survived by his wife, Emma Jean Hayes of Blessing; daughter, Melvinea Harris of Austin; step-mother, Equilla Webb of Blessing; sister, Josie Deadrick of Amarillo; two brothers, Billy Deadrick of Galveston and Amos Deadrick, Jr. of Bay City; a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, and other relatives; and a family of friends. Hayes was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Ira Gordon, III, Kenneth Miller, Carlton Revis, Alphonse Revis, Ronald Revis, Billy Revis, and Warren Deadrick. Honorary pallbearers will include Amos Deadrick, Jr., Billy Deadrick, and the Deacons of Free Zion Baptist Church. Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.
