Adam Carl Miller, 80, of Scottsdale, died May 16, 2006. He was born July 19, 1925 in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania to Adam K. and Pearl Miller. He was founder and owner of his own water treatment business, Adept Water Treatment Co. in Phoenix for 28 years. He was also known for his invention of the reflective safety triangles whose use Congress mandated for all trucking firms. Survived by three daughters, Jeannie Lewis of Palm Springs, California, Cheryl Kindred of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Cathy Leth of Salmon, Idaho; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Bruce Dwain Miller Sr., 77, of Glendale, passed away on January 29, 2006. He retired from GTE as a Computer Technician. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren. Miller, Carolyn Alzora Benton

Carolyn Alzora Benton Miller passed away Friday, June 9, 2006, in Phoenix. Born April 17th, 1930 in Denver, Colorado to Thomas Harry Benton and Carolyn Curry Benton, Alzora was raised on a cattle ranch in Burns, Colorado near Glenwood Springs. She met Cecil H. Miller, Jr. at the University of Arizona, and they were married in 1950. They raised four children; Deborah (Ted) Sheely, Cecily (Scott) Buell, Ellen Luckey and Matt (Kim) Miller. In addition to Cecil and her children, Alzora is survived by her sister Ellen (Earl) Warner, brother-in-law Duane(Beverly) Miller and thirteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John Benton and one grandson. Services were in the Church at Litchfield Park, 300 North Litchfield Rd. 6/14/2006.

Catherine Ann Miller "Katie", 81, passed away on July 13, 2006. Katie was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, of Scottish and Irish parents, Charles A. McLarty and Mary Elizabeth Kelly McLarty. Katie and her husband, Paul, lived in Baltimore Maryland, Murray Hill New Jersey, and Williamsville New York, before settling at The Lakes in Tempe in 1972. She is survived by her husband Paul of nearly 60 years, her children Carol, Neil, Marc and Paul, sister Rosemary, son-in law John Dmochowski, daughters-in-law Laurie Miller, Eva Antal, and Tina Larsen, and grandchildren Paul Leto, and Jason, Jeffrey, Ryan, Kyle, Kellen, and Marcus Miller. Dave Miller, 93, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 in Tempe. Originally from West Virginia, Dave and his wife Bonnie helped organize two Church of Christ congregations before moving to Arizona in 1954. Bonnie died in 1992 after 56 years of marriage. He retired from Arizona Public Service in 1984 after 35 years of service. Jack Bennett Miller, 78, of Tempe, AZ passed away April 15, 2006. He was born to Marjorie and Larry Miller. Bennett grew up in Tempe and graduated from Tempe High School in 1945. He went into the Navy in June of 1945 at the end of WWII. He returned from the Navy and went to ASU where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Entomology. Bennett is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joann McCaw Miller, his son Jim (Barbara) Miller, his daughter Larri Ann (Paul) Gose, grandchildren Alan, Randy, Lindsey, Kylie, Danny and Matthew; his sister Marilyn (Tom) Pyle and brother Gary (Bonnie) Miller. John R. (Jack) Miller, 80, of Sun Lakes, Arizona, passed away on April 6, 2006. Born on April 3, 1926 in Springfield, Massachusetts, he served in the U.S. Navy during the 2nd World War. He lived in Chicopee, Massachusetts where he was a police officer and an Inspector with the Registry of Motor Vehicles until the family relocated to Arizona in 1973. Jack graduated from Arizona State University in 1986 with a degree in Religious Studies. He was ordaiined into the Roman Catholic Deaconate on December 29, 1984 and served as a Deacon at Holy Spirit, St. Thomas Byzantine, and St. Mary's. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mickey, and family, Mike & Sally Miller of Cheltenham, England; Kathy (Miller) & John Noble of Chandler, AZ; Karen (Miller) & Greg Lee of Ahwatukee, AZ; Margaret (Miller) & Myron Lee of Portland, OR; Martin & Dianna Miller of Sharonville, OH; Sherryl (Wilson) Miller of Scottsdale, AZ and Neil & Melinda Miller of Chandler, AZ.
