Bentheim January 3, 1953, and by Robert D. Abel July 15, 2001. She was a member of the Queen Esther Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by daughters Meredith Atchison and Gail Lenberg. Sons, Bill Bentheim, Chuck Bentheim, and Robert Abel. Ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation and services at Phoenix Memorial Chapel, 200 West Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ. Vernon Dale Acker, 71, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on September 19, 2006. He was born on a farm in Whitewater, Wisconsin in March 13, 1935 to Hazel Farnsworth and Robert Acker. He was the youngest of five children. He entered the US Navy in 1954 and was a member of the U.S.S. Filipine Sea Association. Vern leaves his wife of 19 years, Pamela; two children, Kim Owens of Tempe, Arizona and Doug Acker of Texas; sister, Doris Heinlen of Scottsdale, AZ; brother, Ed Acker of Phoenix, AZ; and four grandchildren, Kristopher and Kayla Acker, Katie Owens, and Melanie Shope. He is preceded is death by his father, Robert Acker; mother, Hazel; brothers, Ivan and Melvin. Memorial service in the Chapel of Light at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale.
