Archie D. MacDonald, 81, died Wed., March 30, 1977. He operated a trailer court after coming here in 1929 and was in the produce business 30 years. Awarded the Purple Heart while serving with the Red Arrow 32nd Division in World War I and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Wife, Theresa; daughter, Jacqueline Hyde; 2 sisters; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Arizona Republic 4/1/1977.

MAFFUCCIO, Emilie A.

Emilie A. Maffuccio, 51, died April 23, 1978. She was an artist for 30 years and moved to the Valley from Chicago 21 years ago. Husband, Ralph; daughter, Deborah Hurlbert; a son, Thomas; two sisters, Dorothy Rosenbloom of Illinois and Margerate Myers of Washington; three brothers, George and Richard of Colorado and Fredrick of Kansas; stepbrother, James Sudermann of Arkansas; and two grandchildren. MAGLIO, Antonio

MAHAFFEY, Virgil

Virgil Mahaffey, 63, a retired mechanic, died Thursday, Apr. 20, 1978, in his home. Mahaffey moved here from Ohio in 1970. Wife, Doris; three sons, Virgil, Harry and Edward; two stepsons, Frank and Steve Schiles; six sisters, three brothers and four grandchldren. Services were in Cincinnati. Michael Mancino, of Phoenix, died April 25, 1978, in a Phoenix hospital. He was a sign artist and a World War II Army veteran. MARLEY, Bertie F.

Services for Bertie F. Marley, 72, who died April 18, 1978, in Phoenix General Hospital, were in Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Ave. Mrs. Marley, 2817 N. 29th St., moved here nine years ago from Gastonia, N. C. MAXWELL, Walter, Sr.

Services for Walter MAXWELL, Sr., 64, who died June 23, 1978, at Veterans Administration Hospital, will be at New Salem Baptist Church, 1850 E. Grant. Mr. Maxwell, 2020 E. Polk St., was a custodian at the Papago Elementary School from 1968 to 1976. He moved to Phoenix 24 years ago from Little Rock, Arkansas. Ralph C. McCannon, Sr., 70, of Glendale, died April 15, 1978, at his home. He was a retired farmer who moved to Arizona 21 years ago. Joseph Edward McDaniel, 54, a native of Douglas, died Sunday, March 27, 1977, in his home. He graduated from the University of Iowa after serving with the Army in Italy in World War II. Lewis D. McDaniel, 82, who had owned a ranch at Prescott and did electrical and road construction, died Wed., March 30, 1977, in a Phoenix hospital. He was a member of the Elks. McDANIELS, Carol Hayden

Show Low -- Services for Carol Hayden McDaniels, 69, who died June 22, 1978, in Navapache Hospital, will be in the Show Low 2nd Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mr. McDaniels was born in Kentucky and moved to Phoenix 30 years ago. He moved to Show Low four years ago after retiring from the Arizona Public Service Co., where he worked for 26 years. Glendale -- Services for Kenneth Earl Meek, 60, who died in Lexington, Nebraska, June 22, 1978, will be at the Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary.
