William Dickerson wrote about Louisiana
Died, Sun, Dec 21,1913, Arline, little dau of Wm Carpenter, aged 3 years, 6 months 25 days. She had been a patient little sufferer from an incurable disease for some time and the end was not unexpected. Funeral services were held at home, Tue, Dec 23, and the little remains tenderly laid at rest in the Cem at Chambers, Nebr.
Neighbors formed a husking bee and helped Lou Kissinger get his corn out.

Mrs H S Transue, an old resident of Atkinson years ago, was brought from Hooper for burial on Fri night, and was buried Sat. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago and is buried in the Atkinson Cem. Mrs Transue was sick for some time before her death, being an invalid for over a year.
Peter J Fritchoff born Bella, Sweden, Oct 31,1845 - died Omaha March 11,1914 - age 68 years - hemorrhage of the lungs, 1852 came to Andover, Ill - 1862 enlisted 43rd Ill Vol Infantry - married 1868 Mary Helena Johnson - had eight children - 1885 moved to Nebr - buried in Forest Lawn Cem by the side of his wife, who had passed away but a year before him. He leaves to mourn his loss, 4 sons, 3 dau and 1 sister.

On Sun, May 17, a family reunion was held at the home of Mr and Mrs C N Thompson, old residents of Holt County, 7 miles sw of Amelia. The parents and 13 grown children were all seated at the dinner table together. All 29 grandchildren were present and 1 great grandchild.

Had eleven children - 1878 moved to Wahoo, Nov 1879 son James, a minister departed this life, Aug 1880 son George, a lawyer passed away - 1883 moved to Atkinson - died May 17,1914, age 88 years 3months 9 days - leaving a husband, age 90 and five sons, Joseph B, Brantley B, Charles L, Frank M, Edward P, Bertha J Mills - 24 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren
Francis J Prussa born Nebraska City, Nebr Aug 4,1870 - 1881 came to Atkinson - married Juen 14,1896 to Anna Coufal - two children, both died infancy - wife died 1908 - married June 21,1910 to Anna Tushla - died May 15,1914 - age 43 years 9 months 11 days - buried Catholic Cem.

The brother of John Wagner died at Hadar, shot by a young man by the name of Fink, Thursday and died from the wound Friday afternoon at a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs John Jack, a former resident here and at one time in charge of the Commercial Hotel, died of heart failure in Omaha hospital, last week.
John Zahradnicek and Bertha Voight of Stuart married at O'Neill by county Judge Carlon, last Wednesday
C J Vequist, former resident of Holt Co, who was on his way for a visit in Sweden and a probable passenger on the Empress of Ireland, has not been heard from since the tragedy happened to that vessel two weeks ago.
