My name is Anne L. YUSVAK ~DEGRAVE
I am the youngest daughter of Lawrence and Rita (VANDENPLAS) YUSVAK.
Since they only had 2 daughters, this surname was not going to survive as my father was the youngest of 16 (He had 15 older sisters).
My parents are deceased, and I have since bought the homeplace from the estate. We are in Flintville, Wisconsin.
My daughter has since given this surname to her young son Gabriel.

I am seeking any information on the VANDEN_BOGAARD (VAN_DEN_BOOGERT,
BOGARD, etc variations) and the VERHOEVEN (Ver Hoeven) surnames in Brown County. I know my ancestors came from DePere, some leaving around 1902 to go to Arizona, then settling in Fort Collins,
Colorado. Have had trouble with spellings. I have not been able to find much information. Dad is elderly and doesn't remember much other than his grandfather's name was Albert Van Den Bogaard (changed
to Bogard by children) and Wilhemina Verhoeven.

I am in my fourth year's search for a second cousin who posted a query on Ancestry.com in January 2001 seeking information on both sides of her family. She listed grandparents, aunts, and uncles. She stated that most pictures and papers had been lost. By the time I found the message, no e-mail leads worked. I have left messages on some genealogy sites with no results and "people search" efforts all end up in frustration. I am looking for Caryll Florentine COPPENS MCKEE or perhaps her brother, John Henry Coppens, Jr. This family was from the Chicago area. I found lots of John Coppens, two of whom I called as they were listed as John Henry, Jr but they could not help me...one in WI and one in MI.
Their maternal grandfather, Carl NELSON, and my maternal grandfather, Nels Nelson, were brothers born into a large Danish family in northwestern part of Iowa in the 1880's. I knew from the Social Security Death Index that their parents had both died and last residences listed are in Wisconsin. The father, John Henry Coppens, born 20 Aug 1913, died in Feb 1982....last residence: DePere, Brown Co, WI; Mother, Sylvia Florentine (Nelson) Coppens, born 21 Dec 1915, died 21 Dec 1995....last residence: Green Bay, Brown Co, WI. I have thought that obituraries would be helpful. Perhaps they spent their later years in WI to be near family and/or for health reasons. Any more information would be appreciated.
I get no search results that I can use to find Caryll McKee. No simple just finding her phone number and address...always get sent to the detective/background search sites which I find completely unsatisfactory. I have some pictures and a lot of the Nelson family history that I assume she would appreciate receiving.
My grandfather settled in North Dakota after homesteading in Montana. His other 10 siblings lived in Iowa, Minnesota, Oregon, California, and Chicago.

My great-grandparents Charles A. COWSERT and Elizabeth Veronica HORN Cowsert were married in Brown County in 1894. Elizabeth "Lizzie" was born in Brown County 9-19-1876 (her parents were John Horn and Anna Maria Hatterer). They had two children born in Brown County that were living in 1900 (Hazel born 1899 and Roscoe Francis born 1895 or 1896). Charles & Elizabeth and these 2 children are listed as living in Kaukauna, Outagamie Co. on the
1900 census.
Charles Cowsert died sometime between 1900 and 1910. Elizabeth Cowsert re-married to Walter WHITNEY by the time of 1910 census (can't find marriage record). Charles was a railroad worker(freight conductor) and I was told he died in a railroad accident. I cannot find any record of his death.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I have been unable to locate my grt uncle, John T. Leahy on Ancestry.com except in the 1920 census in the city of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and his WW1 Draft registration from Green Bay, listing his brother William as next of kin. John was born March 31, 1882 in Sterling, Illinois. Family tell me he moved to Wisconsin and married rather late in life and had sons, one of which is John (Jack) Leahy. I was also unable to find his son in Ancestry.com except in the obituary collection and then only a listing of his obituary with the names of survivors.
On the 1920 census, John T. LEAHY is listed as a "boarder" and on the WW1 Draft Registration he gives his place of employment as "Mgr, John Gately Co., 227-79 (?) East Walnut St, Green Bay, WI".
I was also unable to find any marriage record for John T. Leahy on Ancestry.com
Could you help?
