Looking for information on the ASHLEYs of Suamico. Julius and Sarah (BOZILE) ASHLEY had 7 children: Beatrice, Henry (Clara WIJMA), Mary (Edward DE WITT), Aurelia (George WINKEL), Julia (Joseph CORNETTE), Louis (Elizabeth SAVARD) & Edward (Margaret TOUCHETTE). Julius' bro. Peter and Harriette (Bozile) had 2 children, both living at the 1900 census, but I can only find Oliver. Julius came with his family (parents Gilbert & Marie, bros. Gilbert/Herbert (m.Delia BODOH), Alfred, Peter, John & Celestin (m. Alice ?), sisters Marie Louise (m.Belonie NORMAN) & Marie Cesarie (m.John BODOH)) from Quebec in 1878.
My questions: Where were they 1878-1885, when they lived in Manawa, Waupaca, WI? Where was Edward born? Where did Edward & Margaret get married? Who is the other child of Peter & Harriette? What happened to Celestin & Alice's son Raymond? What happened to bro. Gilbert/Herbert & Delia's sons, Hubert Joseph & Arthur? Julius & Peter are in Suamico on the 1910 census, but where is Celestin & bro. Gilbert? I have a lot of information I'm willing to share. Any help will be appreciated!

I would like to hear from anyone regarding the MAES surname from Brown County (Green Bay area) or Wisconsin in general. I've organized many of the decendents of Jean (John) Maes and his son Oscar Maes, both born in Belgium and immigrated to Wisconsin about 1881. Since "Maes" is relatively rare, I suspect that many or all of the "Maes" population in Wisconsin are descendants of only a few families from Belgium.

I am looking for information on the parents of three girls who were born in Oconto between 1870 and 1877. The girls variously spelled their last name as follows on marriage records in Menominee Co MI: LEUERVILLE, LINNEVILLE, LANERVILLE. The girls names were Mary (b 1870?), Phoebe (b 1873?) and Elizabeth (b. 1877). They left Oconto sometime between 1877 and 1887 and moved to Stephenson in Menominee Co MI. The name eventually became spelled LANAVILLE. None of their marriage records indicate the names of their parents. I would like to know their parents' names and any other information on their parents that may be available. The girls may have had other siblings, I am not sure. John LINNEVILLE was a witness at Phoebe's wedding, and his daughter, Lizzie, later married Joshua WERY who was from Peshtigo. Any information on the WERY family would also help. Thank you.

In 1866 the Ed. SCHULTZ family of Alt Sarnow, Pomerania sailed to Quebec on the "Franklin." Ed. Schultz was age 44. His wife Justine was 40. Their children came with them: August, age 11; Albert, age 9; Johanna, age 6; and Bertha, age 4. They settled in Morrison Twp, Brown Co., Wisconsin. On the ship they travelled with two SEEFELDT families that were related to each other, August Friedrich Seefeldt of Alt Sarnow, Pomerania, and Ludwig Friedrich Wilhelm Seefeldt of Nipnow, Pomerania. In Morrison Twp., the three families purchased 160 acres and divided it in thirds. The Schultz farm was in between the two Seefeldt farms. An 1889 township plat shows the owner as Albert Schultz. August and Ludwig Seefeldt were either brothers or cousins. I would like to know if they were related to the Schultz family. Could Justine Schultz have been a sister of one of the Seefeldts?
