Gloria Dean, 56, of Fincastle, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 1997 at her
home. She was an Administrative Secretary at Friendship Manor. Gloria was a
member of First Baptist Church, Roanoke. She is survived by her faithful
husband, Raymond E . Fisher and loving daughter, Terrie F. Day.
""For as Christ Shepherds his Church, Mrs. Fisher shepherded her
family until her death"" ""Precious in the sight of the
Lord is the death of his saints Psalms 116:15"". Funeral services
will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 11, 1997 at Oakey's North Chapel with
the Rev. Bob L. Alderman, the Rev. Albin Crutchfield and the Rev. John D.
Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in the Lawrence Family Cemetery
in Floyd Co. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at
Oakey's North Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
Carousel Clowns Ministry in care of Friendship Manor, 327 Hershberger Rd.,
Roanoke, Va.
