BASHAM, Allie Mae 98, of Thorpe, W. Va. and formerly of Anawalt, W. Va. and Christiansburg, Va., died Thursday, March 23, 1995, at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, W. Va. Born on March 29, 1896, in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late John and Molly Spangler. Mrs. Basham had been a resident of Thorpe for 5 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Pauls United Methodist Church, Christiansburg where she was the oldest member, of the United Methodist Women's of the Church and was a honary member of Circle #4 . She was preceded in death by her husband, Dock R. Basham, four brothers and seven sisters. Survivors include, 3 daughters, Patty Meade, Thorpe, W. Va., Dorothy R. Olsen, Bayonet Point, Fla, Maxine Howarth, Clearwater, Fla.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 26, 1995, at 3 p.m. at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg, with the Rev. Douglas Kanney and Rev. Carol Duffield officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. Friends may call at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg, Sunday after 2:30 p.m. Family wishes memorial contributions be made to the St. Paul United Methodist, Christiansburg, Va 24073.
