Trinkle Williams Thompson, 88, of Riner, Va., passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2010. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Russell F. Thompson; and sister, Elizabeth W. Bishop. Surviving are her daughters and sons in-law, Wanda and James Gaither and Charlene and Allen Angel, both of Roanoke; grandchildren and spouses, Diane and Kenneth Broughman, of Hardy, Va., and Sean and Jan Phillips, of Pensacola, Fla.; greatgrandchildren, Derek Gibson, Andrew Broughman, Lauren Phillips, Bianca Phillips, and Savannah Phillips; and two special nieces, Susan Gilsdorf, of Richmond, and Penny Riquelmy, of Botetourt. Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. on Monday, August 9, 2010, at Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Turpin and the Rev. James Burke officiating. Katherine R. Belcher, 79

Born in Floyd, Va., Mrs. Belcher was the daughter of the late Payton Raleigh and Ida Fisher Williams. 

Mrs. Belcher was predeceased by her husband, Algernon P. Belcher, SGM U.S. Army (retired). 

She is survived by her two daughters and her son-in-law, Paula S. Belcher, and Patricia K. Belcher and Thomas J. Krisak; her sister, Dean Harris; her brother and sister-in-law, Pete and Virginia Williams; her two sisters-in-law, Mary Williams and Ethel Williams; and her three godchildren, Devin Matticks, Gabrielle Atkins and Lisa Walker. 

Relatives and friends may share their condolences with the family on Friday, Aug. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kutch Funeral Home, 215 Grand St., Trenton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Aug. 26 at 12 noon at Luther Place Memorial Church, 1226 Vermont Ave. N.W., Washington, D.C. 

Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.
