He was preceded in death by several brothers, Elbert, Gomer, Grover, Sherman, and Elvin Conner all of Roanoke, Everette Conner of Virginia Beach and sisters Lila Gathercole of Richmond, Clara Faulkner of Bland, Emma Hill Martin of Floyd and Annie Radford of Pulaski. He is survived by his loving wife Margie A. Conner; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Ricky Harris; four sons and daughters-in-law, Albert Lee and Freda, Tony D. and Diane, Mark D. and Sue, and Timothy W. and Martha Conner, all of Christiansburg; one sister, Audrey Bolling; one half-sister, Vickie Moore, both of Roanoke; two granddaughters, Jessica and Rebecca Conner; six grandsons, Derek, Jonathon, Anthony, Darell, Winston Conner and Troy Harris, and one expected grandchild in September; many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 1994, at Bible Holiness Church, Christiansburg, conducted by the Rev. Homer D. Sawyer with interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The body will be taken to the Bible Holiness Church Tuesday morning where friends may call, and the family will receive friends from 6 until 9 Tuesday evening.
