Faulkner, Milford K. - Urbana Daily Citizen & Springfield News-Sun, Wednesday, 11 April 2007

Milford K. Faulkner, age 73, of Urbana, passed away Monday, April 9, 2007 in his residence. He was born June 14, 1933 in Terre Haute, Ohio the son of the late Harold J. and Margery (Lee) Faulkner.

Milford was a 1952 graduate of Westville High School. He served his Country in the United States Army in the 4th infantry division in Germany during the Korean Conflict. Milford retired after 34 years for the Champaign County Highway Department. He also worked for Stockdale's Market and worked for 20 years as a driver-training instructor for Champaign County. Milford served for many years as an Urbana Township Trustee.

He was a member of the Urbana Methodist Church, the K of P in Westville, the Harmony Lodge 8 Free and Accepted Masons, the Urbana Moose and a Life Member of the St. Paris Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #7645.

Milford and his twin brother, Marvin attended the Twinsburg Annual Twin's Festival for 18 years in a row in Twinsburg, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy (Cultice) Faulkner; his daughters and sons-in-laws, Betsy (Faulkner) and Jim Burns of Fairborn and Sharon (Faulkner) and Ron Burns of Urbana; three grandchildren, Patrick, Casey and Annie; his twin brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Charlotte M. Faulkner of Westville and his sister-in-Law, Betty J. Cultice of Zanesville, Ohio; his nieces and nephews, Lisa (Brian) Dunne of Dallas, Texas, Vance (Christine) Faulkner of St. Paris, Curtis (Beverly) Faulkner Carrollton, Texas, Robert (Wendy) Cultice, Wellesley, Massachusetts, Susan (Jim) Brown of Zanesville, Ohio and Peter (Trudy) Cultice of Zanesville; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

Milford was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Donald Cultice.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2007 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday April 13, 2007 in the funeral home with Rev. John Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Terre Haute Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Champaign County, P.O. Box 38125 Urbana, Ohio 43078 or to the donor's favorite charity.

FEASTER -- ST. PARIS NEWS-DISPATCH, Thurs. 10 July 1919
Following a short confinement to his bed, Henry C. FEASTER, aged 75, passed away at his home last night. His critical illness came upon him a little over two weeks ago and was brought on by the shock caused when his wife fell down stairs at night and severely injuring herself. A complication of disease finally caused his death.
Mr FEASTERwas born in Clark county, Ohio, May 12, 1844. He lived in that locality until he enlisted in Co. B., 197th Reg. of O. V. I. with which he werved one year in the Civil War. After the war he came to this locality where he remained the balance of his life.
His marriage to Miss Catherine KESSLER took place March 1st, 1870. The surviving children born to them are Mrs. William GROSS of this place, Mrs. Harley WORTHINGTON of Fletcher, Jason FEASTER and Miss Ara FEASTER, who live at home. Two children are dead. He is also survived by two brothers, Jacob FEASTER living east of St. Paris and Samuel FEASTER of Springfield.
Mr. FEASTER was a member of the German Lutheran church at Lawrenceville so long as it was in existence. He was a trust worthy man and ever ready to give a helping hand where needed.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. J. E. STOMBERGER at 2:30 p.m. Saturday from the home. Interment will be made in Spring Grove cemetery.

Ferrell, Joyce A. Krebehenne – Urbana Daily Citizen, Wednesday, 13 June 2007

Joyce A. Ferrell, age 62, of Urbana, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 in her residence.

She was born on July 2, 1944 in Union County, Ohio the daughter of the late Lester and Mildred (Cunningham) Krebehenne. She married Harold Ferrell on Feb. 6, 1966 and her survives. She was the beloved mother of three children: H. Douglas Ferrell of Rosewood, Darrin (Tracy) Ferrell of Springfield, and Wendy (Kelby) Moore of South Charleston; a loving grandmother to four grandchildren, Courtney and Jordan of Rosewood, and Gunner and Teryn of Springfield. She is also survived by two brothers, Larry (Pat) Krebehenne and Dan (Patti) Krebehenne both of Richwood and a sister Linda Thrush of Marysville, numerous nieces, and nephews. Her Aunt Mary of Springfield, special friend to Jo Lovejoy, and many friends and beloved church family will sadly miss her.

Her parents and a brother, Dale, preceded her in death. She was a 1962 graduate of North Union High School. Joyce was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church where she participated in many activities and especially loved the choir. She enjoyed painting and racehorses. One of the highlights of her life was her flight over the Grand Canyon.

The family thanks Universal Hospice for all of their help and care.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, Ohio with Rev. Wayne Ingle of the Concord United Methodist Church presiding. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Saint Paris. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 15, 2007 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Concord United Methodist Church Choir Fund, 2963 N. State Route 560, Urbana, Ohio. Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.

FLETCHER -- SPRINGFIELD DAILY NEWS Saturday, July 27, 1957
(Urbana) Funeral services for William N. FLETCHER, 78, of 306 W. Broadway st., will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in his residence.
Mr. FLETCHER died Thursday night in his sleep. A retired employee of Central Fiber Products of Urbana, he was a son of Dorsey and Jennie FLETCHER. He was born Dec. 28, 1878, in Urbana. He was a member of Golden Square Lodge 23, F. and A. M.
Survivors include his widow, Mamie FLETCHER; a daughter, Mrs. Vivian DAVID of Cynthiana, Ky.; three grandchildren; a sister, Jennie VAUGHN of Flushing, Mich.; and five brothers, Watson, Eddie and Louis of Urbana and Dorsey and Oliver of Springfield.
His body was taken to the Allen funeral home and will be returned to the residence Sunday morning. Burial will be made in Oak Dale Cemetery.

FLOWERS -- ST. PARIS NEWS-DISPATCH, Thurs. April 7, 1932
Mrs. Deborah FLOWERS, 84, wife of Theodore FLOWERS, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cory EVERETT, one and one half miles north of Lena, Tuesday morning. She was ill only a short time with acute indigestion.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. EVERETT, and one son, Fred; also one sister, Mrs. Ester MAHAN of St. Paris.

Funeral Rites to be Conducted in Rosewood Thursday ROSEWOOD, Jan. 26 - Frank W. Ford, 69 died in his home at Rosewood at 11 a.m. Tuesday. He was a retired grocer, and had lived in this community for many years. His death followed an illness of several weeks. His widow, Artie; a daughter, Mrs. Chole Allgyer of Rosewood; and granddaughter, Dorothy Allgyer, and a grandson, Marvin Allgyer, of Rosewood; two sisters, Mrs. Etna Nixon of Belleville, Ind., and Mrs. Nellie Walburn of Piqua, O., and one brother, James of Fletcher, survive. Funeral services will be conducted at the Rosewood United Brethren Church at 2 p. m. Thursday in charge of Rev. C. C. Ryan of Columbus Grove, with burial in Rosedale Cemetery.

The death of Harry Ford, Jr., removes from among us one of our substantial young men. He was of a quiet, genial disposition, and held perhaps as nearly as any other man, the universal friendship of everybody that knew him. He was the oldest son of Hines Ford, a well known and highly esteemed citizen of this township. For a number of years he was an acceptable member of the I.O.O.F., and was by them buried, the various members of his own Lodge at Careysville, Quincy, Palestine and Spring Hills participating in the internment. He was in his twenty-eighth year, and had been married about one year. The funeral procession was undoubtedly the largest ever seen in the county, there being two hundred and twenty-five vehicles in the procession. The funeral discourse was preached at Neer Chapel, by the Rev. Mr. Smith. His mother preceded him to the, grave about one year ...

John Maley FORD, 78, farmer, passed away at his home, one-half mile east of Rosewood last Thursday at 12:45 p.m. He was a native of Adams township and had spent most of his life time in the community.
Mr. FORD is survived by his wife, Willa; four sons, Harry, Charles, clay and Sherman, all in the Rosewood community; and five granddaughters.
Funeral services were held at the residence Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. S. L. Brill,pastor of the Rosewood U.B. Church, officiating. Burial was in Green Wood cemetery by the Bert Richeson funeral service.

(St. Paris) Mrs. Olive May FOUST , 47, wife of Eugene FOUST of St. Paris, Route 3, died in her home at 4 a.m. Tuesday after illness of one day.
She was a native of Indiana, the daughter of Lehman and Hattie OHNSON.
Surviving are her husband; her father; a daughter Dorothy at home; three sons, Richard at home and Chester and Franklin of North Hampton; three brothers, Keenan JOHNSON of Urbana, Route 4, and Frank and Stephen JOHNSON of Conover, Route 1.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Richeson-Wickham funeral home, St. Paris, with burial in Rosedale Cemetery, Careysville, O.

FRANK
Andrew Frank, son of Martin and Sarah Frank, was born June 4, 1830; died January 7, 1910, aged 79 years, 7 months and 3 days. He was married to Elizabeth Kite Sept. 23, 1852. To this union was born two sons and three daughters. The mother and one daughter have preceded him to the Better Land. There remains to mourn, two sons, two daughters, ten grand children, and one sister, Mrs. David Kite. Mr. Frank united with the Myrtletree Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. David Scott January 8, 1861. He was a good citizen, a kind neighbor and those who knew him best loved him most.

Andrew Frank Aged Citizen Dies
The death of Andrew Frank occurred Friday evening at his home about two miles east of this place. His death was due to infirmities of old age, He being in his 80th year at the time of death. He was born and raised in this county and spent his entire life in it. His wife and one daughter preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Reed and Sarah D. Frank, and two sons, McClellan Frank and Price Frank. Mr. Frank had a wide aquaintance and had many warm friends whom he won by his congenial nature and upright dealing. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30, Monday, at the home Rev. J. W. Stith officiating. Interment was made in Myrtletree cemetery.

Andrew Eldon Frank, twenty seven, partner in Frank Brothers Garage, St. Paris, died at 11:50 Sunday morning at his home, three miles southeast of Rosewood. He was the son of Price and Laura Frank. He was born in Adams township and his entire life had been spent in that community. On February 3, 1926, he married Bertha Overfield.  His parents survive, also his wife, and two small children, Russell, two; and James, six month old. A brother, Floyd, and a sister, Mrs. Russell Young, Marion, also survive. Funeral services were held from the home of his parents, near his own home, at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in charge of Rev. Fred Harris, pastor of Friends church. Interment was in Spring Grove cemetery, St. Paris.

Floyd W Frank, 58, St. Paris route two, farmer and garageman, died at 1:30 a. m. Thursday in his home after an illness of three years. Born August 12, 1889, at St. Paris route two, he was the son of Price and Laura Kiser Frank. He was married to Marie Pine on September 16, 1916. Previously, he was employed by the New York Central Railroad at Bellefontaine. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge at St. Paris. Surviving are the widow, at home; two sons, Pershing and Howard, at home; three daughters, Mildred of Troy, Rose Jean and Anna Jane, at home; a sister, Mrs. Zelma Young of Columbus; one grandson, Floyd William, at home. Two brothers, one sister, one half-brother and one half-sister preceded him in death The body was taken to the Baker funeral home at St. Paris and will be returned to the late residence for services at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev.Harry Sinks, pastor of the United Brethren Church at Rosewood, will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery.

Floyd Frank, 40, 6702 Route 245 West, Degraff, was found dead Tuesday evening at his residence.   He was born July 11, 1947, in Degraff, son of Pershing and Ruth (Hoffman) Frank. Survivors include three uncles, Clyde Hoffman of Sidney, Kenneth Hoffman of Rosewood, and Howard Frank of Rosewood; three aunts, Monabelle Maddy of Maplewood, Rose Jean Ditmer of Troy, and Jane Welty of Christiansburg. Mr. Frank was a computer operator at the Stolle Corp. in Sidney. He was a member of the Springhills Presbyterian Church, a past worthy president of the Bellefontaine Eagles Lodge and Central Zone District No. 23 treasurer of the Eagles Lodge. Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Littleton Funeral Home Highland Chapel, south of Bellefontaine, with the Rev. Jerry Westfall officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. An Eagles memorial service will be held at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Howard "Howdy" Frank, 70, of 8457 Snapp Rd., St. Paris, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1997, at 8:21 a.m. at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney. He was born March 30, 1927, in Adams Township, Champaign County, the son of Floyd and Marie (Pine) Frank. He was a 1945 graduate of Harrison-Adams High School. He served as a Sargent in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was engaged in farming, retired in 1988 from District 7 (Urbana), Ohio Department of Highways, and formerly employed by Pickering Tractor Sales Of Degraff. He was a member of Keith Cretors Post No. 148 American Legion of St. Paris. He is survived by his wife, Juanita (Truesdale) Frank, who he married on Nov. 6, 1950; one son and daughter-in-law, Howard W. and Pam Frank of St. Paris; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Jim Vondenhuevel of Sidney; four grandchildren, Jason Frank of St. Paris, and Levi, Andy, and Steven Vondenhuevel of Sidney; two sisters, Anna Jane and Bob Welty of Christiansburg and Rose Jean and Gerald Ditmer of Troy; nieces and nephews; a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brothers, Pershing Frank; one sister, Mildred Frank; one nephew, Floyd W. Frank. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 25, 1997, at 10:30 a.m. in RICHESON-WICKHAM AND ATKINS FUNERAL HOME, 216 S. Springfield St., St. Paris, with the Rev. Tom Danklefsen, Pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sidney, officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris. Military graveside services will be conducted by Keith Cretors Post No. 148 American Legion and Philip Greiser Post 7645 V.F.W.of St. Paris. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 24, 1997, any time after 2 p.m. in the funeral home.

Ira Frank, Local Undertaker Suddenly Stricken
A fatal heart attack caused the untimely death of Ira Frank, 58, local undertaker at 1:15 a. m. Thursday morning of last week. Some months ago he suffered a lighter but similar attack and seemingly had about recovered.  Born in Adams township, November 25, 1887, he was the son of William and Rosa Frank. His marriage to Miss Mae DeRemer took place January 25, 1911. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Horace Green of Urbana rural route and two grandchildren, William and Margaret Green He moved to St. Paris in 1926 when he became associated with the L. K. Jones Undertaking establishment. He attended the Columbus Training School for Embalmers from which he graduated, and became a licensed undertaker and embalmer June 12, 1924. After acquiring the undertaking interests of Mr. Jones, he opened the Frank Funeral Home in 1935, having purchased the B. F. Baker home for his quarters. Mr. Frank for many years served as church treasurer of the First Baptist church, of which he was a member. He belonged to the St. Paris Knights of Pythias order, the Masonic and Eastern Star lodges. He held member-ship in the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and Ohio Embalmers Association. Funeral services were held in the Frank Funeral Home at 2:30 p. m. Sunday.The Rev. Rex G. Van Court, was in charge of the services and was assisted by Rev. Noel Whitis and Rev. Clarence DeRemer of Rosewood. Hymns were sung by Miss Madge Burkimer, accompanied by Miss Betty Whitmore; and Mrs. Marion Stevens, accompanied by Miss Pauline Gentis. Those acting as pallbearers were the following undertakers: Jud Wilkins, West Liberty; Robert Humphreys and Jerry Jones, Urbana; Oscar Kerr, Sidney; Osten Richards and Byron Ferman, Springfield. A number of other undertakers attended the service. Undertakers in charge were the Suber service of Fletcher, the Richeson-Wickham firm of St. Paris and Humphreys of Urbana. Interment was made in the family lot at Rosedale Cemetery.

An Awful Death. On last Thursday evening after closing our columns, we learned of the distressing death of a little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Price Frank, of near Crayon. The childs death was caused from a burn, her clothing catching fire from a stove on Monday morning. She suffered until Thursday when her little life went out altho when her wounds were first dressed they were not thought dangerous, except by the little sufferer herself, who said as stated in the following Obituary
Lizzie Delilah, daughter of Price and Laura Frank, was born in Champaign county, Ohio, April 4th, 1891, died, January 31st, 1895, aged three years nine months and twenty seven days. She was a bright child and immediately after the terrible accident that caused her death, she told her Mamma that she was going to die and begged her to stay near her. May the bereaved Father and Mother of this dear child, whose waxen folded hands, the still heart so often pressed, those sleep-bound eyes, the sweet still face that has been taken from them before the world had touched her with a stain, realize that they have many sympathising friends that have been called to a kindred grief. Blessed be the name of Him who giveth and taketh away, that he has said "Suffer little children to come unto me for such is the kingdom of Heaven."

ST. PARIS - Funeral services will be held here for Mrs. Mae Frank, 72, of St. Paris, at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Baker Funeral Home. The Rev. Alfred Nothstine of the First Baptist Church of St. Paris will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Dale Cemetery of Carysville. Friends may call at the funeral home from Tuesday morning until time of services. Mrs. Frank died Sunday in the Champaign County Hospital. She had been hospitalized for two months. Mrs. Frank was associated with her husband, the late Ira Frank, in the Frank Funeral Home, here, until his death in 1946. Mrs. Frank was born near West Liberty on July 9, 1888, the daughter of John and Della Taxson DeRemer. The Franks were married on Jan. 5, 1911, in Urbana. A resident of Champaign County most of her life, Mrs. Frank was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Paris; the Diamond Chapter, OES, St. Paris; D. of A. Council 238, Terre Haute; and the Beech Grove Grange. Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Horace (Edna) Green, Urbana rural route; a brother, Ernest C. DeRemer, Johnstown, O.; a sister, Mrs. L. H. Barger, St. Paris route one; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Last rites for Mrs. Maud Frank were held Monday 2:30 p.m. in the Richeson-Wickham funeral home. Rev. H. B. Reily officiating. Burial was made in Spring Grove cemetery. Mrs. Frank had been a patient in the Piqua hospital since February 14th and died Saturday at 8:45. She lived her entire life in or near St. Paris. She was born in Millerstown May 15th, 1873, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Norman. Her husband McClellan Frank preceded her in death, one son the late Dr. J. W. Norman died in 1941. The only survivor is her daughter-in-law, Marie Norman of Urbana. Mrs. Frank was a member of the St. Paris Methodist Church and Pythian Sister Lodge.

McClellan Frank, 76, Dies On Tuesday After Long Illness
Funeral Services for Prominent Farmer are Held Thursday
Funeral services were held here at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon for McClellan Frank, 76, prominent retired farmer of Millerstown, who passed away at 7 o'clock Tuesday morning at his home in that village following an extended illness. He had lived his entire life in that community. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Maud Frank, and one son, Dr. J. W. Norman, of St. Paris.Funeral services were held at the residence. Burial was made by Bert Richeson, funeral director.

Mrs. Price Frank Succumbs at 78   Mrs. Laurabelle Frank, 78, widow of Price Frank, died at 2 p. m. Sunday at her home three miles southeast of Rosewood. Surviving is a son, Floyd Frank, of near Rosewood; one daughter, Mrs. Russell Young, Columbus; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Kiser, Urbana route 2; Mrs. Elizabeth Shepard, Urbana route 4; Mrs. Lula Pence, St. Paris route 2; also 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body was removed to the Frank funeral home in St. Paris but will be returned to the residence today. Funeral services are to be held at 2 p. m. OT Wednesday  in the residence and the body will be intered in Myrtle Tree cemetery.

Mrs. Marie PINE FRANK, 72, of Rural Route 2, St. Paris died this morning in Stouder Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack.  Born Sept. 13, 1897, she was a daughter of Maley and Rose Ann McNeal Pine.   She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd in 1948; a daughter Mildred in 1963; four sisters and five brothers.   Surviving are two sons, Pershing Frank of Galion, Ohio and Howard Frank of St. Paris; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald Ditmer (Rose Jean) of Troy, and Mrs. Robert Welty (Anna Jane) of Christiansburg; a brother, Fred Pine of Rosewood; a half-brother, Harry Hutchinson of Chicago; and five grandchildren. She was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church, Ladies Auxiliary of Keith Creators Post, Homemakers Club, and the Kiser Lake Saddle Club. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Baker Funeral Home in St. Paris. The Rev. Harry Sinks will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and evening. Wednesday afternoon and evening, and until time of services Thursday.

Crash Kills County Native Mildred Frank Hurt Fatally Near St. Paris Mildred Lucille Frank
A Troy woman became Champaign County's third traffic fatality of the year Sunday when the car she was driving went out of control on Cemetery Road, north of St. Paris, left the road and smashed into a tree. Miss Mildred Lucille Frank, 43, of 301-1/2 Water St., Troy, died in Piqua Memorial Hospital at 11:50 a.m. Sunday of injuries suffered in the 9:40 a.m. mishap. The victim reportedly suffered a severed left leg, multiple fractures, lacerations of the face, arms and hands, internal injuries and shock. Highway Patrolmen from the Springfield post said the fatal one car accident occurred two miles north of Ward Road on Cemetery Road, about five miles north of St. Paris, near Millerstown, while Miss Frank was en route to her mother's home for Mother's Day. Her mother was identified as Mrs. Marie Frank, of St. Paris route two, in the Millerstown area. The Baker Funeral Home ambulance was summoned to transport the victim to the Piqua hospital, where she died two hours later in the operating room. Miss Frank, a telephone operator in Troy for the last 21 years, was alone at the time of the accident. Her 1957 model car was completely demolished. She was born in Adams Township in this county, March 17, 1920, the daughter of Floyd and Marie Pine Frank, and was a graduate of Rosewood Schools. Her father preceded her in death Jan. 8, 1948. Survivors in addition to her mother are two brothers, Pershing, of Bellefontaine, and Howard, St. Paris; two sisters, Mrs. Rose  Jean Ditmer, of Troy, and Mrs. Anna Jane Welty, Christiansburg; a niece and four nephews. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Harry Sinks, of Harrison, O., in the Baker Funeral Home, St. Paris, at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may call at the funeral home from Tuesday morning until the time of services. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery.

FRANK--Urbana Daily Citizen July 20, 1987
Pershing Price Frank, 68, 195 Nicholas Dr.,Galion, died suddenly Sunday in the Memorial County Hospital, Mount Gilead. He was born July 19, 1918, in Rosewood, the son of Floyd and Marie Frank. During World War II, he served in the U.S.Army. He worked as a round house foreman for a railroad company. He was a member of the VFW, the Amvets and the Eagles lodge of Galion. He is survived by a son, Floyd W. Frank, Degraff; a step-daughter, Goldie Wallace, Galion; a step-son, Carl Wallace, Mansfield; 11 step-grandchildren; a brother, Howard Frank, St. Paris; and two sisters, Rose Jean Ditmer, Troy, and Jane Welty, Christiansburg. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Wappner Funeral Home, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield, with the Rev. Richard Beals officiating. Burial will be in the Mansfield Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home.

PRICE FRANK TAKEN BY DEATH Was Highly Respected and Well Known Throughout This Section The death of Price Frank at his home east of Rosewood Friday morning, removed from this locality on of its best known and highly respected farmers. He had been ill for several months. His entire life of 72 years had been spent in the same locality. He was the son of Andrew and Elizabeth Frank. Besides his wife, Laura, one son, Floyd W. Frank and one daughter, Mrs. Zelma Young, of Marion, survive. Also nine grandchildren, one brother, McClellan Frank and one sister, Mrs. Nettie Reed. Mr. Frank was an energetic and successful farmer and was a man who was held in the highest esteem by his many friends and neighbors. Services were held from the home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial was made in Myrtle Tree cemetery by Ira Frank, funeral director.
Urbana Daily Citizen July 6, 1931 Price Frank, 72, Of St. Paris, Is Laid to Rest Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the late home, seven miles north of St. Paris, for Price Frank, 72, who passed away Friday morning, following a several months' illness from Bright's disease. The deceased was born in Jackson township and had lived his entire life in and near  the community. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Laura Frank, a son Floyd, who lives with his family at home, and a daughter, Mrs. R. D. Young, of Marion. Services were in charge of Rev. Samuel Furrow, pastor of the First Baptist church, of Urbana, and were largely attended, Burial was made in Myrtle Tree cemetery and those acting as pallbearers were: C. B. Burns, John Kite, Perry Kite, Clement Long, John Long and Harley Spriggs.

Sarah Didama Frank
The remains of Sarah Didama Frank, who died in a Columbus hospital Thursday, were brought to St. Paris Saturday and taken to the home of her brother, McClellan Frank, where the funeral services were held Sunday morning, Rev. N. Y. Mathews officiating. Interment was made in Myrtle Tree cemetery. With the exception of the last few years which she spent in Columbus, her entire life was passed at the home of her birth. The following obituary was read at her funeral: Sarah Didama Frank , daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth Frank, was born on the old home farm east of St. Paris November 28, 1862, died July 10, 1919, aged 56 years, 7 months and 12 days. Most of her life was spent in untiring devotion to the care of her mother and father. During the last eight years she has lived in Columbus. She united with the Tenth Avenue Baptist church in Columbus and was faithful in her church relation until her master called her home. One sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Pence, preceded her in death ten years ago. She leaves a son, Dr. J. A. Frank, of Columbus; two brothers, Price, north of Millerstown, McClellan, of Millerstown, one sister, Mrs. Nettie Reed, west of Millerstown, and many relatives and friends to cherish her memory. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth, yea saith the spirit, they rest from their labor and their works do follow them."

William F. Frank Dies of Heart Attack
William F. Frank, 78, retired farmer, died at 5:45 p. m. Sunday following a heart attack. He had been in failing health for the past year and had resided with his son, Ira Frank in St. Paris since the death of his wife 11 years ago. He was the last of a family of six children and a former resident of Adams township. He was a member of the Carysville Christian church. Funeral services were held from the Ira Frank funeral home Wednesday afternoon with William Suber of Fletcher and Bert Richeson, St. Paris, funeral directors in charge. Rev. A. O. Long, pastor of the Baptist church conducted the rites. Burial was in Rosedale cemetery.

Mrs. James FRIAUF, aged 66, passed away at a Toledo hospital Sunday morning following a major operation on Friday. She was the daughter of the late G.P. SHIDLER of this place, having been born in St. Paris January 8, 1875. She was a step-sister to Mrs. L.E. BROWN, Mrs. Harry ZEA and G. G. JONES of this place.
She graduated from the St. Paris high school in the class of 1892 and was married to James FRIAUF of Columbus a few years later. The family has lived in Toledo for a number of years.
Besides the husband, Mrs. FRIAUF is survived by three sons: George of Pampa, TX, James Jr. of FL, and Robert of Camp Shelby, MS; two grandsons and one brother, P.K. SHEIDLER of Cincinnati. She had been a member of the local Baptist church for over 50 years.
Funeral services were conducted from the Garner Funeral Home, Toledo, Tuesday evening at 7:30. Internment was made in the cemetery at Lakeside, OH. Those from here who went to the FRIAUF home on Tuesday were Mr. & Mrs. Harry ZEA, Mr. & Mrs. I. E. BROWN and Allan ROSS.

Vera V. Fries, age 66, of Christiansburg, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 5, 2007 at 5:50 p.m. in Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.

She was born on May 11, 1941 in Whitley City, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Floyd and Verdie (Bryant) Perry.

She married Arlan E. Fries in Portland, Indiana on August 15, 1958 and he survives in Christiansburg. Two sons and daughters-in-law also survive: Tony and Lisa Fries and Brian and Teresa Fries all of Christiansburg, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her sister, Doris (Earl) Whipp, Troy; five brothers, Chester (Norma) Perry, Christiansburg; Lowell J. (Diane) Perry, Troy; Lloyd (Judy) Perry, Troy; Harold (Shirley) Perry, Troy; and Larry E. Perry, Christiansburg also survive as well as two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Perry, Christiansburg and Becky Perry, Kissimmee, Florida. Her parents, two brothers, Bernard and Doyal Perry and a sister, Cleary Jean Perry, preceded Vera in death. Vera was a member of the Christiansburg Church of Christ in Christian Uni9on. She retired in 1996 from Dolly Toy, Tipp City and also served as a home health aide. Vera enjoyed the Christiansburg Red Hat Society and she loved her garden and flowers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2007 in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, Ohio at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Carl Ogden of the Christiansburg Church of Christ in Christian Union presiding. Burial will follow in Casstown Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Donations in memory of Vera may be made to the Christiansburg EMS, P. O. Box 300, Christiansburg, Ohio 45389. Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.

FRY -- ST. PARIS NEWS-DISPATCH, Thurs. 30 Decembr 1937
Mrs. Charlotte L. FRY died at her home on West Main street Sunday at 6 p.m. following a stroke of paralysis suffered Friday. Mrs. FRY had been a resident of St. Paris for the past 47 years. Her husband, Edward FRY, preceded her in death 27 years ago.
Mrs. FRY was 84 years old at the time of her death, and was a charter member of the Diamond Chapter No. 84 of the Eastern Star, a member of the Baptist Church and a member of the Home Circle.
She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Helen LEFFEL, and a grandson, Richard LEFFEL, of St. Paris; also a brother, Attorney Frank FLINN of Tippecanoe City.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Bert Richeson Funeral Home. Burial was made in the Riverside cemetery at Troy.
