My name is Loretta Lee Yelverton of Katy, Texas. I am searching for information on Frank and Sophia Bunde HEIMAN (sp? Heimann), their daughter Mary HEIMAN, and Mary's husband, John KOESTER. I have reason to believe that my grandfather, John J. KOESTER, born in 1874, may be Mary and John’s son. My mother once told me that my grandfather’s parents both died when he was a child, he grew up in Montary, and that he had two sisters, Mary Koester Fricke ? and Theresa Koester Pietzmeyer. My grandfather also had two step-brothers, J. C. and Conrad Kluthe. Other than circumstantial information, I have nothing concrete that John and Mary Koester were my grandfather's parents. I have not been able to find any information at all about, Mary's husband, John KOESTER. Thank you very much.

My name is Loretta Lee Yelverton. I am searching for information on Adam PARR, John PARR and John Jacob PARR or it may be Jacob PARR. I think Adam was my maternal great-grandfather. The Parrs were among the earliest settlers in Olean but that is all I know. Finally, I would appreciate information on the Henry KAMPSCHNEIDER family. My grandmother Lena PARR KOESTER’S mother or her grandmother’s name was Katrina KAMPSCHNEIDER PARR who may be the daughter of Heinrich KAMPSCHNEIDER who came to the United States from Germany in the 1870’s. Thank you very much.

My great-grandparents, Adam OURADA and Maria MATEJOVIC, emigrated from Bohemia about 1877. Their son, John Ourada who was born in Bohemia, was my grandfather and married Carrie LEGLER about 1897. Carrie had been married in Colfax county to someone else, but I do not have his name. Her parents were David LEGLER and Rachel SCHINDLER. David had emigrated from Switzerland to New Glarus, WI and then come to NE after the Civil War. I believe that Adam, Maria, David and Rachel are all buried in Schuyler or nearby. I am hoping to find more information about them and also about their European roots locations.

Elihu "King" SPAIN (5 Mar 1856, Iroquois Co., IL - 15 Feb 1919, Union Co., OR) and his wife, Sophia Josephine SPRAY SPAIN (29 Mar 1857, Shawnee Twp., Fountain Co., IN - 9 Mar 1886, Cottage Crove, Lane Co., OR) are both buried in the Schulyer Cemetery, Schuyler, Colfax Co., NE. They were married, 21 Jun 1876, in Iroquois Co., IL. It is not now clear as to why Elihu SPAIN chose to escort his wife's remains back to Schuyler, NE for burial in 1886, and why his remains were taken there for burial by his sons, Fred and John SPAIN for burial, except for the fact that his first wife, Sophia, was buried there. Trying to learn why they were drawn to Schuyler, NE for burial. It is reasonable to assume that there were family ties of some sort, however, Sophia's parents were in Union Co., OR and are buried there. Elihu SPAIN'S father, Hamilton SPAIN died in the first year of the Civil War in the Mississippi Campaign. Nothing further known of his mother, Lydia Belt SPAIN, who is supposed to have remained in Iroquois Co., IL. Elihu had a brother, George Washington SPAIN and James Calvin SPAIN. Will exchange with anyone interested.

Seeking information on John Bunion ROUSE b. 1854 in Vermilion County Illinois. Possibly married Josephine Herrin. John was the son of Edward ROUSE and Minerva MARTIN. When he migrated to Nebraska is unknown. He did not return to Illinois until several years after his father's death in 1910. He petitioned the court for his share of inheritance that was being held in an account for him by Vermilion County court officials. I have alot of info on his family back to 1776 including wills, death/birth certificates, photos and some living relatives.

All are buried together in Purplecane Cemetery. Mathew and his wife are together in a different part of the same cemetery. Phyllis was killed in a car accident, while on a trip somewhere?? He didn't know what Ida or Ed died from. They lived in Schuyler, Neb. He (Jack) thinks they migrated from Canada, but isn't sure. Any added info would be appreciated. Thank you.
