My grandfather immigrated to Nebraska from Bohemia around 1910. He was married in Schuyler to Vinci BACEK. He had a sister (name unknown) living in Schuyler, who married a HUSAK (?) and had a daughter, Anna Marie born 3 Feb 1920. My grandfather emmigrated to Manitoba in about 1914 with his brother.

I'm looking for any information about my ancestors who were born,raised,and died in and Schulyer, Colfax, Nebraska. They include Henry W. SMITH,wife Elizabeth M. (GEARN) SMITH.Henry's brother Jacob SMITH and his wife Sarah (FENDER) SMITH--they all came from Pennsyvania in 1865- 66.Henry and Elizabeth had several children 1 of which was Charles H. SMITH -who was at 1 time a city councilman in Schulyer (probably around 1907) and married Adelaide E. LAWRENCE who was born,raised and died in Colfax County and was the daughter of George LAWRENCE and Charlotte SKINNER. Also,any information about my grandad George W. SMITH who was born in Schuyler in 1893 would be appreciated. I would also ask for any information anyone might have on Mrs. John BROCK, Jacob SMITH & Mrs. J.J. HOARN who I believe are the children of Henry W. SMITH as they are mentioned in his obit. In 1918 as his survivors and living in Columbus. Thanks!

This is an update to my previous posting. Seeking info on Eugene Monroe ALLEN. Believe he was the publisher/owner of the Schuyler Sun/Register c 1875. Married to Bessie FARNSWORTH. His son Leon Harry ALLEN was my ggrandfather. Leon was born in Schuyler 12/17/1876. Leon was married 10/01/1899 to Addie Lizetta HAMM in TX. Would like any info on the ALLEN family. Thanks

Patrick FITZGERALD & his wife Catharine 'Kitty' DOLLARD FITZGERALD were in Schuyler, Colfax Co. by 1870 & probably by 1868. Patrick was a railroad worker. They migrated from Ireland thru Canada then Chicago then Nebraska.

I am looking for any information on my family. Either the ARMSTRONG familiy or the Avery familiy from the Oakdale area. My great grandmother, great grandfather, and grand father have been buried in the Oakdale cemetery. My grandfathers name was Everit Orvil Armstrong. My great GrandMothers family was to have been one settlers from Oklahoma that were the founders of Oakdale. Any information would be appreciated.

I am seeking info on Lewis Wesley INOS b 1850-1851 Jefferson Co, OH; married 22 Feb 1877 Schuyler, Colfax, NE Ruth Amanda MILLER b 1856-1858 Hancock Co. OH. I'm missing both Lewis and Ruth's birthdate, death date and place. Lewis's father is Andrew INOS b: PA; his mother is Sarah PLUMMER b: OH exact dates and places unknown. Ruth's father is Nelson MILLER b: PA exact dates and place unknown. Ruth's mother is Hannah HALL b: OH date and place unknown. Ruth parents married 5 Jan 1846 in Hancock Co, OH. I have list of their children. Lewis and Ruth had 2 dau Lilla Myrtle INOS SORUM and Florence INOS CARTER. I have info on their families. Lewis, Ruth daughters and Hannah MILLER listed in 1880 Census for Schuyler,Colfax,NE. I have copy of Lewis and Ruth marriage license. There is another Lewis INOS marriage license to Nellie Gray but the first names of Lewis' parents are difference. Is this same Lewis? Ruth died about 1883 possibily in Schuyler. Lewis married again. On 1 Aug 1895 Lewis attended his dau Lilla's marriage in Los Angeles, CA. His second wife and 2 sons were with him. Second wife and sons' names are unknown. Looking for anyone researching the HOBZA families of Colfax county. Matej and Antonia had three children. Karl (married Rose BRENEK), Rudolph and Anna ( who married Prokop CASTEK). They all emigrated from Moravia about 1879. Matej and Antonia are buried in Dry Creek Cemetery.

I am trying to track down information about Joseph Ellsworth DOTY, also called Joe E., or Little Joe DOTY. He died and was buried in Schulyer, Colfax Co., NE sometime in the mid 1960's. He had a daughter, Grace Doty Baade, who lived in California at the time of his death. Willis George (or George Willis) MARKHAM was living with his mother & step-father [David B. & Eunice E. (MASON) (MARKHAM) SWART] in Schuyler (Colfax Co.) NE at the time of the 1880 federal census. His father, Norman G. MARKHAM died 14 Apr 1864 at Nashville TN while serving in Company G, 18th MI Infantry. His half-brothers & half sisters living with the family at time of 1880 federal census were: Menzo P. SWART, b circa 1866 in MI; Adalbert M. SWART, b 1867 in MI; George W. "Oliver" SWART, b 4 Feb 1868 in Litchfield (Hillsdale) MI; Herman K. SWART, b 20 Oct 1869 in Litchfield (Hillsdale) MI; Bertha Lee SWART. Am trying to locate descendants, if any, of Willis George (or George Willis) MARKHAM. Any assistance will be appreciated.

I am descended from Henry BINDER, who lived in Richland Township. He settled there shortly before Colfax County was formed. His wife was Charlotte GILLMAN; they had 12 children: Peter, Jacob, Henry, John, Anna, Elizabeth, William, George, Franklin, Frederick, Charlotte, and Mary. Franklin was my grandfather. Looking for information on and descendants of Jacob & Mary (POOLE) WOODS. They are buried in Schuyler Cemetery. They had a daughter Mrs. Frank Boren. Also information on Jennie (CAMERON) daughter of Wallen & Sarah (WOODS) CAMERON who married the Rev. W. W. WELLS. Jennie lived in Schuyler in 1927. Also information on Joseph F.
