QUERY: I would like to find information on both the Parrish and Fletcher families. Henri Parrish married Sarah Fletcher c1800. Henri was of French Huguenot ancestery, and he may have been the brother of Claude Parrish of Fluvanna Co. VA. The Parrish family were said to be a well to do and slave owners in the Fluvanna Co. area.
Sarah Fletcher had both French and Indian Bloodlines. Sarah did not believe in slavery and the Parrishs left VA in 1810 for KY. Their two known daughters were Anna Marie Parrish born c1802 and Elizabeth Eveline Parrish born c1804. There may have been other children.
It is believed that Henri was dead before 1824, as Elizabeth's mother, Sarah (Fletcher) Parrish gave her consent for her daughter to married Ihasm (Isam) Pearson/Pierson, on 25 Sept 1824 Washington Co. IN. I have information on the Pierson/Pearson, as both girls had married Pearson/Pierson brothers. I will be more than happy to share information I have.

Carrick was my Great Grandfather's brother and J S was their Uncle (he married Elizabeth Thompson, dau of Josiah & Margaret Thompson). I am not sure of the relationship of the M. Francis Thompson, Elizabeth and John Gregory (my ancestor) may have had other siblings. I am very interested in learning more about this Thompson Branch and also about the cemetery.

QUERY: I am trying to find out more about my 4GGrandfather, PUBLIUS JONES. He was of Welsh descent and lived in Fluvanna Co, VA where he married a lady named ELIZABETH WORD. I don't know his birth or death dates BUT I do know he fought in the Revolutionary War as a member of Campbell's Rifle Regiment and was present when Cornwallis surrendered. So that kind of
establishes a time period.
Publius and Elizabeth had a son, CARY JONES, who married NANCY OMOHUNDRO. They continued to live in Fluvanna Co and had 5 children...Catherine, John, Henry, Sallie and THOMAS CARY JONES, my ancestor.
THOMAS CARY JONES was born in 1822 and killed in the 3rd Battle of Winchester as a member of Stuart's Cavalry. Thomas married MALINDA VAWTER and they had 6 children. Malinda Vawter was born in 1830 and died in 1917, living her entire life in Scottsville, VA. Her son, my GGrandfather, JOHN THOMAS JONES, eventually left Fluvanna Co and settled in Madison Co, AL.

Query: We have made some progress since our last posting about the Harris and Shores families in Fluvanna County during the period 1760-1815. We have found some of the unknown descendants of John HARRIS and Delilah SHORES (m. 1799 Fluvanna). These descendants became part of the WRIGHT,SAGE and PATTERSON families of Missouri and Indiana. We have yet to find descendants
of John C. HARRIS (b.abt.1810 Fluvanna) who was in Clark County Indiana at least from 1850 and 1860. We also found another HARRIS-SHORES child, William TAYLOR HARRIS who was born after the death of John Harris and shortly before the family's move to Bourbon County,Kentucky. We are hoping to find information about any TAYLOR family in Fluvanna around 1800. We are
