Submission Instructions

Use the Online Form: The easiest way to contribute is through the FGS Online Submission Form. Be sure to select Virginia as the state and specify Dinwiddie County.
Include Detailed Family Information: Enter full names, birth/marriage/death dates and locations, and any known children or family notes.
Provide Source Information: Please include the sources for your data (census records, Bible records, wills, vital records, etc.). This enhances the credibility and usefulness of your submission.
Respect Privacy: Do not include information on living individuals unless you have their permission.
Review for Accuracy: Double-check your data before submitting.
