This is a collection of over 600 photos taken by Ken Schultz and
Margaret Gagliardi
during visits to Blandford Cemetery in 2006, submitted as a gift to the thousands of descendants
of those buried in this historic cemetery. Together, they offer a virtual tour of the area.

Additionally, this page links to tombstone transcriptions for Blandford Cemetery. Contributor Joan Renfrow has indexed and transcribed the Virginia W.P.A. Historical Inventory Project survey of Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia—sponsored by the Virginia Conservation Commission and conducted under the direction of its Division of History conducted in 1936-37. Images of the original report can be viewed at the Library of Virginia.
This collection has been divided across multiple pages, sorted alphabetically. Each entry includes the individual's name as recorded in the original report. Icons next to the name indicate the resources available for that individual:
Please send links to Find a Grave or Fold3 memorials to the county site coordinator for inclusion in the index.
We are grateful to Ken Schultz (deceased) and Margaret Gagliardi for their generous donation of images, and to Joan Renfrow for her transcription contribution to the USGenWeb Tombstone Transcription Special Project. If you have photos of your own family tombstones at Blandford Cemetery, please consider sharing them to help others in their research.
