I am researching the family of Thomas J. Huffman married to Julia Rains in 1856 in Carroll County. I need information on his father, Barney. He is listed as having a marriage bond in Grayson County in July 1804 to Elizabeth Sufferage. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

My husband and I are researching Alfred Gardner (great grandfather) born from 1837-1840 died approximately 1924 in Carroll County, Hillsville. He served in the CSA Company D, 29th Virginia Infantry for four years as a musician. Married Sarah (Sally) Morris in 1860 or there about had several children including a son John who married a Jessie Coulson and then Betty Jane McCraw, had a total of 16 children.

Seeking information on all Coleman families living in Carroll Co. in early 20th century. Specifically the family of a John Coleman in 1910 census. He was in his sixties with a much younger wife and small child. He died in Carroll Co. in 1915. Would like more information on him and any of his descendants.

Looking for copy of obit of Evalina Allen Harrold died Dec. 1, 1927. Her obit lists her gr-grandparents as William and Ann Allen. I need this for proof that John Allen is the son of William. Obit is on roots-web but submitter's e-mail address is no longer valid. His name is William Harrold. Any help would be greatly appreciated for either copy of obit or how to contact Mr. Harrold.

Looking for information about Tamsy Caroline Davis, born in 1848, married Martin Ellis SIMCOX. She was possibly the daughter of James C. DAVIS and Amelia "Millie" MURPHY. She's my 2nd Great Grandmother, her son Elbert SIMCOX moved to W.Va. to work in the lumber mills and the coal fields of Wyoming and McDowell Counties, married Harriett Susanna LAMBERT and had four children, the oldest of which was my Grandma Virgie Simcox. Married McKinley Smith MARSH who walked from Wilkes County, NC to W.Va. with his younger brother Lester in 1926 to work the timber for the mining companies. Any information would be most helpful,
