HARRISON, John, born about 1800, died ca. 1865 and married to (SIZEMORE?), Martha. They lived in the southern border region between Grayson, Carroll, and Surry (NC) Counties from the 1830's to the 1880's. Children included Jeremiah (1825), Mary Rankin (1827), Henry (1830), Robert (1833), Paulina/Perlina (1837), Solomon (1840), Greenebury (1841), William (1844), James (1847), Elizabeth Jane (1850). I am searching for descendants from this family and any background information on John or Martha HARRISON.

Looking for information on Josiah HENLEY and his wife Elizabeth MIDKIFF. She died in Carroll Co in the 1850's but Josiah died 11 April, 1890 in Carroll Co. Any info on the families of either of these two people would be greatly appreciated.

Victoria CAMPBELL, born 25 Oct 1855, Carroll Co. VA. Verified birth and date. Twin sister--Alverta or Albertha. Parents Samuel CAMPBELL and Mary CAUDLE, neither VA natives. Victoria married in 1876 in IL. Have not found whereabouts in between. Victoria married Frank ACKERMAN, have good Ackerman data (will share). Thnx.

Is anyone working on determining the parentage of William LARGEN (177?-1832)? Contrary to oral history which says that his father was from Sweden, we believe that he was of French descent. The Largen history seems to stop with him and we would like to carry it back further. Help! Bill and Mary Largen Fox, Williamsburg, VA.

I am looking for BALDWINs and DALTONs and my line of DALTONs includes Isaac DALTON born 19 Feb, 1856 in Lee Co., VA. He was married to Rebecca E. BALDWIN, born Nov. 1853 somewhere in VA. She married Isaac DALTON in 1876. I do not know who Rebecca E. BALDWIN's parents were and all I know is that she had a brother named John C. BALDWIN. Isaac DALTON's parents were Thomas DALTON and Catherine COLLINSWORTH. They were married 20 Sept. 1851 in Carroll Co. Va. Catherine COLLINSWORTH's parents were Thomas COLLINSWORTH and Esther Ann BLUBAUGH married 17 July 1832 in Lee Co., Va. I don't know who their parents were. Thomas DALTON's parents were Thomas DALTON and Mary or Polly JENNINGS. They were married 29 May, 1833 in Carroll Co., Va. Who were their parents? Also after reading about the Melungeons, I found out that DALTON and COLLINSWORTH are possible Melungeon surnames.

Need help with Mary ESKUE b. ca 1812 d. 7 Oct 1898 Carroll Co. Va. married 1. 29 March 1831 Montgomery Co. Va. Jonathan NESTER, she married 2nd. 30 March 1841 Grayson Co. Va. Elijah LARGEN. She had children by both marriages. Who is her parents, siblings? A copy of her marriages does not list parents names.
