Autumn Marie Light, 25, of Cloverdale, passed away
Saturday, July 3, 2004. She was a 1996 graduate of Lord Botetourt High
School. Surviving are her father, Dennis Light; mother, Teresa Johnston
Light; grandparents, Mildred Light, Jim Johnston, Marlene Johnston; aunts
and uncles, Sammy and Madora Lane, Jim and Marchetta Lafon, Jay and Cathy
Light and Steve Johnston; and cousins, Scott, Missy, and Amanda. Funeral
services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2004 from Oakey's North
Chapel. Pastor Horace D. Light will officiate. Interment will be in the
Reed Family Cemetery, Floyd County. The family will receive friends from 6
to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Oakey's North Chapel, 362-1237.

Gabriel Owen Light, age 64 of 2610 Radford Rd., N.E.,
died Friday February 2, 1990. He is survived by his wife, Mildred R. Light,
two daughters and sons-in-law, Madora and Sammy Lane, Roanoke; Marchetta
and Jim Lafon, Salisburg, Md.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, J.W. and
Cathy Light, Roanoke; Dennis Light, Cloverdale; four grandchildren, Missy
L. Bratton; Scott Lane; Amanda Lafon, Autumn Light; one great-grandson
Trevor Bratton; three sisters, Hope Gallimore, Akron, Ohio; Pearl McKay,
Max Meadows; Audrey Lawson, Galax. Funeral services will be conducted from
Oakey's North Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 5, with the Rev.
Charles R. Doyle officiating. Burial will be in the Reed family cemetery,
Floyd County. Friends may call at Oakey's North's Chapel from 2:00 to 4:00
p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.

Mildred Reed Light, 84, of Roanoke, Va.,
went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 6, 2010. She was predeceased by
her husband, Gabriel Owen Light; and a granddaughter, Autumn Marie Light.
Mrs. Light was a member of Hollins Road Church of the Brethren. Surviving
are her daughters and sons-in-law, Madora and Sammy Lane and Marchetta and
Jim Lafon; sons and daughter-in-law, J.W. and Cathy Light, and Dennis
Light; three grandchildren, Missy L. Bratton, Scott Lane and Amanda
Shrader; six great-grandchildren, Trevor, Heidi, Bryan, Gabriel, Jacob and
Douglas; brother, Jimmy Reed and wife, Ella; sister, Christine Bohon; and
several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Hollins Road Church of
the Brethren, 2404 Hollins Road, Roanoke, Va. 24012 or to the American
Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Roanoke, Va. 24018. Funeral services
will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Oakey's North Chapel. Pastor
Horace Light will officiate. Interment will be in the Reed Family Cemetery,
Floyd County. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday,
May 7, 2010, at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.

Ella Lorene Scott Reed, 81, of Roanoke passed away on
Saturday, June 25, 2016. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Ella
loved being with her family and enjoyed the holidays and family reunions.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Mamie Scott; brother,
Maynard Scott.
Ella is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jimmy Reed; son and
daughter-in-law, Steven and Christina Reed; three sisters, Bea Stegall,
Mary Cannaday, Christine Helton; four brothers, James Scott, Lynwood Scott,
Curtis Scott, Kenneth Scott; numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at
Oakey’s North Chapel with Rev. Woody Turner officiating. Interment will
follow at Whispering Pines Cemetery, Floyd County. The family will receive
friends on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Oakey’s North
Chapel.
