of Roanoke. [no file]
Melanie Lynn
“Thomas” Creasey, 45, was born to Fred & Barbara Thomas on May 6, 1973
in Pulaski, VA. She fell asleep in death on Monday, November 19, 2018.
Melanie is survived by her husband of 27 years, Darrell (Roanoke, Va). Her
maternal grandmother: Marie Forscutt (Jonesville, Nc). Her parents: Fred
& Barbara (Floyd, Va). Siblings: Diana (Kris) Basham and Matthew
(Jessica) both of Floyd, Va. Joy (Adam) Toney and Corinna (Rex) Ferguson
both of Hendersonville, Nc. Andrew (Karen) of Pulaski, Va. As well as a
multitude of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and special friends.
At the young age of 27, Melanie was diagnosed, and began her fight, with
Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Melanie was known to be a loving, caring, happy,
positive person. Many who went to encourage her over the years often left
feeling that she was the one that encouraged them. Even though her disease
has taken many things from her over the years it couldn’t take her passion
for life.
Over the past 18 years Darrell has dedicated his life to keeping Melanie as
comfortable and happy as possible. She truly enjoyed their time together.
He did all he could to make her smile and laugh.
What a comfort to know that the hope Melanie had was in Jehovah, a God who
yearns to bring his loyal ones, like Melanie, back to life. We find
reassurance in the he words of Job whom said, “You will call, and I will
answer you. You will long for the work of your hands.” (Job 14:15).
There will be a memorial service held on Sunday, November 25th at 4:30 pm
