(Can’t find cert) LAWRENCE, Elsie H., 89, of Salem, passed away Thursday, May 15, 1997 in a local hospital. She would have been 90 on May 28th. She was the widow of Curtis L. Lawrence. They were married 61 years at the time of his death in 1989. Mrs. Lawrence was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was retired from C & P Telephone Company. She had a life membership in the Telephone Pioneers of America. Other than Mr. Lawrence, she was preceded in death by her sons, Don L. Lawrence and C. Rodney Lawrence and a brother, Reginald A. Henry. Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Betty W. Lawrence; grandsons, Don R. Lawrence and Timothy C. Lawrence; great-grandson, Travis Lawrence; great-granddaughter, Wrenn Lawrence; a brother, Nathan T. Henry; sisters, Frances Burba and Mamie Arnold; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Evelyn Henry, Bernard (B. P.) and Margaret Henry. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was Mamaw to her grandchildren and their friends and she was also Mamaw to special friends, Bob and Ann Leighton and their grandchildren; also, Sandy Booher. She has touched a lot of lives and will be sadly missed by all. Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 12 noon, in the Lotz Salem Chapel, with the Rev. G. F. Westmoreland and the Rev. Brian Orahood officiating. Intement will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lotz Salem Chapel after 5 p.m. Friday. 1989 Death:
