Snowville, Va. – Mrs. Lena Dishon, daughter and Elbert and Mary Young, was born July 29, 1873, died January 12, age 60 years, 5 months, and 14 days. 

Was married to James M. Dishon forty-five years ago.

To this union was born ten children, surviving are her husband, seven children, twenty-six grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Sam Hall of Pulaski and Mrs. Andy Adams of West Virginia.

She had been a member of the Hiawassee Missionary Baptist church for many years and was faithful to the end. She loved her church and a faithful attendant as long as she was able, and she loved her bible. The last reading she did was her bible.

The funeral was preached at the home by the Rev. C.W. Stone to a large and sympathetic congregation, and the body was laid to rest in the family cemetery near the home.
