RAINWATER, GEORGE W.
George W. Rainwater, 78, of Bay City died June 9, 2001 at St. Luke's
Hospital in Houston. He was born July 3, 1922 in Henderson, Texas to the
late Barry Melvin and Lela May Little Rainwater. Mr. Rainwater was a
member of the First United Methodist Church, a resident of Bay City
since 1969, and a former resident of Palestine. Mr. Rainwater was a
veteran of WWII serving in the US Army.
Survivors include: son, Ken Rainwater of Humble; sisters, Wilma Parrish
of Palestine and Billie Trout of Houston; brother, Jack Rainwater of
Dallas; two grandchildren, Christopher and Holley Rainwater both of
Houston. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherene Rainwater,
September 9, 1992 and his son, David Rainwater, June 28, 1989.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at Taylor Bros.
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Crowe officiating. Interment will
follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck.
Pallbearers will be Keith and David Rainwater, Richard Trout, Stan
Vannoy, Michael Sicard and Wayne Bruening.

Christine "Chris" Jones Ray
July 3, 1921 - March 30, 2006
Willie C. "Chris" Jones Ray was born July 3, 1921 in Goree, Texas to
Dibrell George and Jessie Myrtle Gulick Jones.
She passed from this earth Thursday, March 30, 2006. Chris was a long
time resident of Matagorda County, having resided in both Markham and
Van Vleck for over twenty years.
Chris served in World War II as an Army General Duty Nurse. She saw duty
in India and Burma, receiving an Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with a
Bronze Star. As a First Lieutenant, Chris was honorably discharged in
1946.
After the Army, Chris became a registered nurse and the wife of Vernon
Ray, having met him while both were attending Texas Tech. After first
teaching nursing in Pasadena, Chris continued her career as Director of
Nurses at Matagorda General Hospital. She became the first school nurse
for the Tidehaven ISD and served as such until her retirement in 1986.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon, her husband of over
fifty years in 2003, three brothers David, Harold and George Jones and
one sister Leola Jones Smith.
She is survived by: sons, Frankie Ray and Cindy Wright of Jones Creek
and Richard and Marsha Ray of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one grandson, Kole
Ray of Austin; four granddaughters, Kristyn Ray of Denton and Courtney,
Laura and Katie Ray all of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one brother, Everette
Jones of Weatherford, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Chris was a kind, dear friend and neighbor to all who knew her as well
as a loving wife, mother, nanny and sister to her family. She continued
to administer nursing assistance to those in need. Her spirit,
gentleness and generosity will be deeply missed by all.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 2, 2006 from 6 until 7 p.m. at Taylor
Bros. Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at
Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck on Monday April 3, 2006 at 2 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Kole Ray, Jan Jones, Bret Hutson, Gary Jones, Clay
White and Carter Franklin.

RAY, VERNON O.
Vernon O. Ray, 82, of Van Vleck, passed away Friday, July 25, 2003. He
was born November 6, 1920, in Magnet, TX, to Ovie F. Ray Sr. and Lavada
P. Grant Ray. He was a resident of Matagorda County for the past 47
years, a World War II veteran of the US Army, and was a retired rice
farmer and football coach.
He is survived by his wife: Chris Ray of Van Vleck; by his sons and
daughters-in-law: Frankie Ray and Cindy Wright of Jones Creek, and
Richard and Marsha Ray of Fayetteville, AR; by his sister: Glyna Wells
of So. Houston; and by his grandchildren: Kristyn LaNae Ray of Denton,
Kole Franklin Ray of Austin, and Courtney Gayle Ray, Laura Christine Ray
and Katherine Ann Ray, all of Fayetteville, AR. He was preceded in death
by his parents, Ovie F. and Lavada P. Ray and by his brother, Frank Ray.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, July 27,
2003, at the funeral home. Grave side funeral services will be held at
10:00 AM Monday, July 28, 2003, at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
Pallbearers will be Kole Franklin Ray, Carter Franklin, Tommy Warren,
Johnny Jurek, Chad Hurta, and Robin Sparks. Arrangements with Taylor

George Reckaway
Nov. 3, 1933 - Oct. 21, 2005
George Reckaway, 71, of Bay City, died October 21, 2005, at the
Matagorda Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Bay City.
He was born November 3, 1933, in Lavaca County, Texas, to the late
Ernest George and Agnes May Chapman Reckaway.
Mr. Reckaway was a member of the Baptist Church, a resident of Bay City
since 1958 and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S.
Army.
Survivors include: son, Barry Reckaway of Bay City; two sisters, Betty
Dibbern of Bay City, and Grace Hans of Highlands, Texas; and by two
grandchildren.
Graveside funeral service was at 10 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2005, at
Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck, Texas, with the Rev.
Chester Sassman officiating.

Donald Roy Reddoch
Donald Roy Reddoch, 75, of Sweeny died December 12,
2000 at Matagorda General Hospital in Bay City. He was born May 10, 1925
in Rosebud, Texas to the late E. B. Reddoch, Jr. and Effie Florence
Reddoch. Donald was a member of Old Ocean Baptist Church, and a resident
of Sweeny since 1969. In 1985 he retired as a antiknock operator from
Phillips Petroleum with 35 years of service, and was a member of
Phillips Men's Club. Mr. Reddoch joined the U S Army shortly after
graduating from high school in 1943 and proudly served his country with
honor. As a member of the 99th Infantry Division he served in the Battle
of the Bulge. During this time he earned four battle ribbons. Mr.
Reddoch was a life member of West Brazos VFW Post #8551.
Survivors include: wife, Frances Wells Reddoch of Sweeny; daughter and
son-in-law, Donna and Ronny Noster of Sargent; sons and
daughters-in-law, Bart and Kay Reddoch of Teague, Texas, Jan and Patti
Reddoch of Sweeny; three step-daughters, Karen and Jerry Powers of
Kerrville, Donna and Ray Bailey of Sweeny; and Betty Burk of Sweeny;
brother, E. B. "Skipper" Reddoch, III and wife Janie of Plano, Texas; 17
grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; aunt, Viola Oswalt of Sweeny.
Mr. Reddoch was preceded in death by his first wife Hazel Reddoch,
daughter, Judy Lowe and son, Patrick Reddoch.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2000, at Taylor
Bros. Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Carter officiating. Interment will
follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will
be grandsons: J. C. III, Matt, Josh, and Christopher Reddoch, Doug and
Darren Bailey.

RENDON, FRED OCHOA, SR.
Fred Ochoa Rendon, Sr. 80, of Palacios died September 26, 2001 at the
Veterans Administration Hospital in San Antonio. He was born February 1,
1921 in Port Lavaca, Texas, to the late Alberto P. Sr., and Porfiria
Ochoa Rendon.
He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and a resident of
Palacios for 60 years. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army,
and was a member of the VFW Queen-Hamlin Post No. 2467 and the American
Legion both of Palacios.
Survivors include: wife of 61 years, Anita “Annie” Solis Rendon of
Palacios; daughter, Ophelia Lara of Blessing; son and daughter-in-law
Eddie T. and Marie Rendon of Inez, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons; Fred O.
Rendon, Jr. and Benny Rendon.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Palacios Funeral Home,
and the Funeral Mass is at 10 a.m. Friday, September 28 at St.
Anthony’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Dwomoh officiating.
Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus or the Disabled
American Veterans Chapter.

Evaristo S. “Rocky” Reyes, Jr.
Funeral services for Evaristo S. “Rocky” Reyes, Jr., 68, of Boling,
Texas, will be 10 a. m. Wednesday, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic
Church in Bay City with Rev. Edward Boren officiating. Military
graveside services will be at Cedarvale Cemetery under the direction of
Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio. Rosary will be 7 p. m. Tuesday,
at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Reyes died August 17, 1997 at
Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton, Texas. He was born May 10, 1929 in
New Gulf to the late Evaristo S. Reyes Sr. and Theresa Samaniego Reyes.
Mr. Reyes was a resident of Boling for 37 years and a member of St.
Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boling. He was a retired Master Sgt. from
the U. S. Air Force with 33 years of service, a veteran of the Korean
Conflict and a member of American Legion Post #87 in Wharton. Mr. Reyes
also retired from Texas Gulf Sulphur Co. with some 36 years of service,
as well as a retired Reserved Deputy Sheriff for Wharton Co. Survivors
include: wife, Rebecca Rodriguez Reyes of Boling; daughter, Belinda
Cuevas of Rosemead, CA; 3 sons and daughters-in-law; Evaristo S. Reyes,
III & Linda of Boling, John E. and Kathy Reyes of Marina Valley, Ca. and
Peter A. and Patricia Reyes of Boling; 2 sisters, Mary Mendoza and
Bertha Mireles both of Boling; 3 Brothers: Joe Reyes and Andrew Reyes,
Sr., both of Boling, Armando Reyes of Brazoria and by 3 grandchildren.

Joseph
Dewell Richardson, 51, a resident of Houston passed away at the Rosewood
Hospital in Houston December 14. He was a process engineer with the
Petro-Chem-Technical Services, Inc. in Houston and had been a resident
of Houston for the past five years. He was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include: wife, Betty Jean Richardson of Houston; father,
Joseph S. Richardson; 2 daughters, Mrs. Vades Darlene Druckhammer of
Houston and Judith Ann Richardson of Longview; 1 son, Joseph Duane
Richardson of Houston; 2 brothers, Frank M. Richardson of Houston and
Kenneth Richardson of Sweeny; 3 grandchildren. Funeral services were
held Monday December 17, at 2 p.m. at the Sweeny Baptist Church with
Rev. Charles Chance and Rev. Murphy officiating. Interment was at the
Roselawn Memorial Park with pallbearers being: J. O. Bordner, L. P.
Henry, R. H. Johnson, Kenneth Conrad, J. D. Witt, G. R. Masters, and

services for , 91, of Sweeny were scheduled for
2 p.m. Sunday at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jerl
Watkins officiating. Burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, Van
Vleck. Mr. Richardson was
born June 8, 1898, in Alexander City, Ala., to Benjamin J. and Hixie
Meadows Richardson and died July 21, 1989, at Avalon Place, Wharton.
A resident of Matagorda County
since 1908, he was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of First
Baptist Church of Sweeny.
Survivors include his wife,
Jewel Hardwick Richardson of Orlando Memorial Convalescent Center,
Orlando, Fla.; three sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth J. and Bessie
Richardson of Van Vleck; Frank M. and Jean Richardson of Houston; and
George Maybelle Hardwick of Cocoa Beach, Fla., a daughter-in-law, Betty
J. Richardson of Longview; a sister, Tennie Sewell of Sweeny; a brother,
R. G. Richardson of Victoria; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Harrell Gibbs,
Earl Leeton, John Redd, Jim Reeves, Garland Richardson and James Sewell.

RICHARDSON, KENNETH JOYCE
Kenneth Joyce Richardson, 78 of Sweeny [Hasima, Matagorda County,
Texas], passed away on August 29, 2002.
He was born November 5, 1923 in Bay City, Texas to the late Joseph
Samuel and Vades [Underwood] Richardson. He was married to Bessie McLeod
on January 11, 1949, in Bay City.
K.J. "Seedtick" was a retired carpenter/insulator from
Phillips Petroleum company. He was a World War II veteran and a 50-year
Master Mason.
He is survived by his wife Bessie, three daughters, Gayle Walker and
husband Bobby of Dickinson, Texas, Wanda Redd of Bay City, Texas and
Patty Wright and husband Dale of Sugar Land, Texas; six granddaughters,
Tricia Jenkins, Angie Redd, Amy Redd, Marie Wright, Sara Wright and
Amanda Walker; four great grandchildren, Ashley Paige, Ryan and Nicholas
Jenkins, Logan Redd and also one great-grandson expected in September.
Two brothers preceded K.J. in death, Dewell and Frank Richardson and
parents.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2002 at
Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Hutson and Rev. Aaron Young
officiating.
Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers include: John Ashcraft, Gary Hale, Pat Jurek, John Redd,
Llyn Reynolds and Ben Vollbaum.
Honorary pallbearers include; Earl Leeton, Billy Baca, Buster Hanna, Ray

Richbourg, 67, of Sargent will be held 2 pm Tuesday at Taylor Brothers

Mr. Richbourg was born Nov.
14, 1922, in Houston to Rufus T. and Ruth Riggs Richbourg and died July
20, 1990, at Northwest Memorial Hospital in Houston.
A resident of Sargent since
1961, he was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local #54 for 35 years,
an Army veteran of WWII, serving under Gen. George S. Patton’s 3rd
Army at the Battle of the Bulge. While in the service, he received the
American Campaign Medal, Victory Medal and African Middle East Campaign
Medal.
He is survived by his wife,
Sandra Williams Richbourg of Sargent; mother, Ruth Richbourg of Houston;
daughter, Caryl Helmin of Durango, Colo.; step-daughter, Kristol Keeton
of Sargent; two sons, Michael and John Richbourg, both of Houston; two
step-sons, Ryan and Oris Black, both of San Jose, Calif.; two brothers,
Rufus W. Richbourg of Spring and Robert Richbourg of Houston; and five
grandchildren.

RICKAWAY, EUGENE ROBERT
Eugene Robert Rickaway, 70, of Midfield died at his residence Nov. 19.
He was born August 8, 1931 in Tivoli, Texas to the late Robert and Anita
Beckman Rickaway. Mr. Rickaway was a member of and Elder of Nichols
Street Church of Christ in Bay City, a resident of Midfiled since 1967
and a former resident of Post Lavaca. Eugene was a veteran of the U.S.
Navy and was a retired operator with Union Carbide. He was a very active
member of the Cecil Lee American Legion Post #649 of Blessing, and was
past adjutant for 3 years and past Vice Commander for one year of the
9th District of the American Legion.
Survivors include: wife, Marie Woodson Rickaway of Midfield; daughter
and son-in-law, Anite Jewel and Don Smith of Acworth, Ga.; three sons
and daughters-in-law: James Robert and Joretta Rickaway of Lebanon,
Tenn. Mark Alan and Angel Rickaway of Bay City, and Vernon Ray and Ruthy
Richaway of College Station; brother, Albert Lee Rickaway of Brazoria;
nine grandchildren: Jonathan Rickaway, Jeremy Rickaway, Michael Smith,
Judy Smith, Kyle Rickaway, Abigail Rickaway, Joshua Rickaway, Jonathan
Klippel, and Julie Klippel.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the Nichols Rd.
Church of Christ with Bro. Joe Wrape officiating. Interment will follow
at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing.

Funeral services
for Magdaleno J. “Neno” Rico Jr., 57, of Bay City will be held
10 a. m. Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with
the Rev. Edward Boren and Bishop Richard Ramirez of Los Cruses,
N. M., officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial
Park.
A rosary will be
born Feb. 18, 1933, to Magdaleno J. and Petra Juarez Rico Sr. in
Matagorda County and died Aug. 30, 1990 at St. Luke’s Hospital
in Houston.
He was a lifelong
resident of Bay City, retiring from Celanese Chemical Co. 1 ½
years ago. He also served with the U. S. States Air Force in
Korea and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
He is survived by
his wife, Betty Jane Vega Rico of Bay City; daughter and
son-in-law, Driana and Daniel Rodriguez of Bay City; two
daughters, Dolores Dalvand of Houston and Eva Luera of Houston;
two sons, Magdeleno J. Rico III of Bay City and Orlando R. Rico
with the U. S. Army in Kansas; one sister, Irene Becerra of Bay
City; and three brothers, John Rico of Bay City, Medardo Rico of
Bay City and Amado Rico of Houston; and 7 grandchildren.

Medardo Juarez Rico, 75, of Bay City died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002 in Bay
City. He was born December 16, 1926 in Bay City to the late Magdaleno
Rico, Sr. and Petra Juarez. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Catholic Church and a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Army.
He is survived by: two sisters, Irene Becerra and Driana Rodriguez, both
of Bay City; two sisters-in-law; Dalia Rico of Houston and Betty Rico
Greer of Bay City; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2002 at Taylor Bros.
Funeral Home and mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2002 at

PALACIOS - Antonio G. "Tony" Rodriguez, 85, of Palacios, died Thursday,
June 30, 2005.
He was born Jan. 3, 1920, in San Antonio, to the late Antonio G.
Rodriguez Sr. and Fidela Garcia Perez. He was a retired transportation
captain for Friends of the Elders, non-denominational, and a World War
II U.S. Army veteran. He was a tank driver with Company A, the 785th
tank battalion.
Survivors: wife, Lupe Alamia Rodriguez; daughters, Irene Lucio of
Palacios, Elizabeth R. Rodriguez of Wharton, Veronica Constancio of
Blessing, and Virginia Salazar of Pasadena; sons, Antonio Pardo, Mario
Rodriguez, Ismael Martin Rodriguez, and Lloyd Rodriguez, all of
Palacios; sisters, Natalia Serrata of Houston and Alicia Harvey of
Palacios; brother, William "Willie" Rodriguez of Palacios; 24
grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: sister, Herminia Maseda; brothers, Ralph
Rodriguez, Jimmy Rodriguez, and Alex Perez; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at The Living Word Church in
Palacios.
A prayer service will be 7 p.m. tonight at the church.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the church, the Rev. Tony Flores
officiating.
Burial with military honors under the auspices of Veterans of Foreign
Wars Queen Hamlin Post No. 2467 will be at Palacios Cemetery.

Wayne R. Rogers, 63, of
Rosharon, TX passed away Nov. 17, 2007. He was born Dec. 5, 1943 in
Palacios, TX to the late Otto Horace and Eugenia Schulke Rogers. He was
an electrician and served in the US Army during Vietnam.
Survivors include his
wife: Sandra Rogers of Rosharon; daughter: Tanya Fuqua & husband Richard
of Richmond; son: Jarrett Rogers & wife Tammy of Houston; 2
step-daughters: Casandra George & husband Bryan of Grandbury TX &
Kaylena Matthews of Ft. Worth; step-son: Gilbert Bayer of Houston; 5
sisters: Rita Nauman of Bay City, Patricia Mayo of Fairfield TX, Kathryn
Miller of Ft. Walton Beach FL, Bettye Koontz of Palacios and Willa
Koontz of Corpus Christi; brother: Marshall Rogers of Beeville; and 6
grandchildren: Parker, Colton & Kiley Rogers, Annabelle Fuqua, and
Gilbert & Donald Bayer.
The family will receive
friends and relatives from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral
Home with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at
Hawley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Teddy Mayo, Ron Cowart, Greg
Rogers, Henry Rogers, Dewayne Ledwig, and Brian George.

Gerald W. Rowland, 88, of Bay City
passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007
at the Methodist Hospital in Houston
following a long illness.
He was born on February 4, 1918 in
Lexington, Texas to parents Ezikiel and
Katherine Nunnley Rowland. He moved his
family to Bay City in 1953 and with with
his brother, Tom, they formed Rowland
Brothers Construction. In 1973 he took
the position of Chief Building Official
for the city of Bay City and worked
there until he retired in 1988.
He enjoyed retirement with long hours of
golf and working in his wood working
shop. Poor health forced him to give up
his hobbies, but he still enjoyed life.
He was the last or three sisters and
four brothers and is survived by: his
sons, Joe and Susan Rowland of Bay City
and Ronnie and June Rowland of Bay City;
grandchildren,, Kara and Michael Douglas
of Olathe, Kansas, Grant and Krystal
Rowland of Houston, and Ashley Rowland
of Bay City; and great-grandchild, Tyler
Taylor of Houston.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m.
Saturday, January 6, 2006 at the First
Baptist Church of Bay City with Dr.
Michael Zimmerman officiating. Interment
followed at Cedarvale Cemetery.
Pallbearers included John McMillan,
Woodrow Riedel, Bob Allen, Stan
Eldridge, Tom Rowland, Bill Johnson,
Mike Collins and Jeremy Collins.
Honorary pallbearers were the deacons of
First Baptist Church of Bay City.

Howard Lewis Russell
Howard Lewis Russell, CSM/USA/RET, 66, of Bay City died March 10, 2002
at Matagorda General Hospital in Bay City. He was born March 15, 1935 in
San Antonio, Texas to the late Lewis Curtis and Ethel Lenora McKinney
Russell.
Mr. Russell was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a resident
of Bay City since 1982.
He retired in 1981 from the US Army as a Command Sargent Major, with 23
years of service. He then became a training supervisor for HL&P South
Texas Project.
Survivors include: wife, Louise Petri Russell of Bay City; daughters and
sons-in-law, Lynette and Matthew Dunlap of Wadsworth, Cynthia and John
Hodges of Bay City, and Stephanie and Stanley Ott of Fort Hood, Killeen,
Texas; brother, Melvin Russell of League City and Raymond Russell of San
Antonio; and 10 grandchildren, Ryan, Neal, Erin, Katy and Whittney
Dunlap of Wadsworth, Rachel, Jarred and Brenda Hodges all of Bay City,
and Lenora and Emily Ott of Killeen.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2002, at the First
Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Sam Steele officiating. Interment will
follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City with full military honors.
Pallbearers will be Sgt. Stanley F. Ott, Matthew Dunlap, Calvin, Melvin,
Raymond and Clinton Russell, and Ryan Tobin. The family will receive
friends at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

BAY CITY - Roy Edward Rutherford, 63, of Bay City, died Wednesday, Dec.
10, 2003.
He was born March 27, 1940, in Bay City, to the late Cody Richard and
Ruby Adelle McQueen Rutherford. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force
and member of First Pentecostal Church.
Survivors: wife, Sheila M. Pell Rutherford; daughter, Ruby Frances
Tucker of Longview; sons, Roy E. "Sonny" Rutherford Jr. and
Cody Richard Rutherford, both of Vidor, and Larry Edward Burgess of
Texarkana, Ark.; sisters, Betty Bascom of Lake Jackson and Barbara Kemp
of Marshfield, Mo.; ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: brother, Joe Rutherford.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Roselawn Memorial Park in

Arthur
J. Ryman, 76, of Bay City passed away February 9, 2007.
He was born October 31, 1930 in Wadsworth,
Texas to Arthur David and Mary Unice Anderson Ryman. He served in
the US Navy after WWII & the US Air Force during the Korean
Conflict.
Survivors include: his wife, Ardine Knapp
Ryman of Bay City; sons, Willie Strelec and wife Marsha of Bay City
and Lee Strelec and wife Landle of Van Vleck; sisters, Ruth Spickler
of Flint, Michigan and LaVerne Lamb of Houston; seven grandchildren,
Charlotte McKissick, Kristy Bundick, Willie Strelec, Jr., James Dale
Strelec, Redonna Huron, Crystal Strelec and Leigh Wiley; twenty
great grandchildren, Jessica, Bridget, Brooke, Brittany and Gary
“Bubba” Kersh, Vance, Ashley, Tyler, Nick, and Kayla Strelec,
Brandon, Bryce and Bradley McKissick, Austin Wells, Kolton and Alana
Huron, Hailey Hurta, Alleah, Jaidah and Devin Wiley; niece, Ruth
Evens; great niece, Michelle LaRose and great nephew, Brian Evens.
A Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel with the
Chaplain Don Storey officiating.

Ryman Services Slated Saturday
Services will be at 2:30 p. m. Saturday at Wadsworth Baptist
Church for Eddie G. Ryman, 67, who died Thursday at the
Veteran’s Administration Hospital at Houston. Rev. R. E.
Black and Rev. Aubrey Maxted will conduct the services, with
interment to be at Cedarvale Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eddie G. Ryman of
Wadsworth; four daughters, Mrs. Edward Verdecanna and Mrs.
Sybil Weirich, both of New York, Mrs. Louis Kopnicky of
Markham, Mrs. T. E. Simpson of Bay City; five sons Roy Ryman
of Alvin, Raymond Ryman of Houston, Russell Ryman of
Wadsworth; Robert Ryman and Randolph Ryman, both of Bay
City; three sisters, Mrs. Edgar Mallory of Brazoria, Mrs.
Frank Hatchett of Wadsworth, Mrs. Boyd Sifford of
California; and four brothers, A. D. Ryman and O. H. Ryman,
both of Wadsworth, Earnest Ryman of McCook, and C. B. Ryman
of Bay City.

RYMAN, ROBERT E.
Funeral services for Robert E. Ryman, 71, of Bay City, are scheduled for
2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 1994, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Robbins Odom officiating. Burial will follow at
Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck.
A member of the Baptist church, he was a veteran of World War II serving
in the U. S. Air Force and a resident of Bay City for 49 years. He
retired Feb. 1, 1985, as a machinist with Phillips Petroleum after 34
years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Ann Rector Ryman of Bay City; two
daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth Ann and Butch Sellers of Pampa and
Virginia and Mark Kreiger of Austin; two sons and daughter-in-law,
William Eddie Ryman of Bay City and Gary Lee and Karen Ryman of
Hungerford; three sisters, Gertrude Hardy and Sybil Weiss, both of Bay
City and Rosemary Armstrong of Matagorda; four brothers, Roy W. Ryman,
Raymond Ryman, Randolph Ryman, all of Wadsworth and Russell Ryman of
Sargent; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Verdecanna in 1989.
Pallbearers are Craig Williams, Rusty Williams, Loy Sneary, Worth Lucas,
David Gingles and David Lyle.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes or American
Heart Association.
