CECH posted by Jackie Neal on Sunday, September 10, 2000

I am looking for family info. My grandfather, Joseph CECH, was born in 1876 to Anna CECH (born in 1852). Place of birth mentioned on one record Plzen, Czec. But on his marriage papers says looks like Dcev or Dclev??? He married Antonia COUFAL Feb 1900. Her parents were Joseph COUFAL and Karolina TIMMER. Their parents were Josef Franz COUFAL/Amalia GOLDHAMMER. Karl TIMER/ Aloisia Catharina POHORELY. KUTNA HORA, CZECH. Does this mean anything to anyone in Colfax Co. I saw the Coufal and Cech names on records. I know that the Anna CECH and her son Joseph came to US in 1881. Help

GOODGE posted by Stefanie Eskander on Saturday, October 21, 2000

My great grandmother was Mary Jane Goodge, who was born in 1849 in Southampton England. She immigrated to this country probably in the 1860's, and was married to Walter Thomas Ward, also from England. They settled in Beatrice, and had 4 children: one of whom was my grandfather William Ward. Mary Jane had a brother named Reuben Goodge who married Lizzie J. Dunn sometime between 1879 and 1889, and he was a farmer in Colfax county, living in Schuyler, and Leigh. Mary Jane's parents must have brought her to America, and settled in Colfax county also. Their names are Eliza Tibbet (Goodge) and Henry Goodge. I have an old photo of them taken in Schuyler at HE Rimer Photography studio.

PELC posted by Nancy Cline on Wednesday, November 15, 2000

Anna PELC married Jan CERNIN in Bohemia. They immigrated to Colfax County, NE in 1882-83. Had 8 children. Before 1899 Anna Pelc and Jan Cernin were divorced. In 1899 Anna Pelc Cernin married Jan Koudelka. They had a daughter Pauline Koudelka. However, I believe Jan KOUDELKA, my great grandfather, may have died before the birth of his daughter, Pauline. Pauline went by Cernin and Koudelka. Anna Cernin Koudelka also reverted to the use of the Cernin name. Anna Pelc Cernin Koudelka died in July 1925 in Colfax Co. Her daughter Pauline married Joseph Veltrusky/Weltruski in 1916 and they lived in Colfax County for 10-12 years before moving to Newman Grove and then St. Edward, Ne. I would like to contact family members PELC/CERNIN/KOUDELKA. Anna PELC, Jan CERNIN and Jan KOUDELKA were all born in Bohemia.

BALK, BAYER, ZITZLSPERGER posted by Terry Hacker on Wednesday, February 14, 2001

I am looking for information about Anna (ZITZLSPERGER) BAYER who could have possibly lived in Schuyler, Colfax County, NE. She would be related to Michael and Anna (BALK) ZITZLSPERGER, who lived by Willey, Carroll County, Iowa. She would have a brother named William (Bill) ZITZLSPERGER also from Willey, Iowa and moved to Carroll, Iowa when he retired. I am trying to find her birth, marriage, death dates along with her husband's name and data. I don't know if they have any children or not. It is possible that Anna was married before moving to Nebraska. Anna's brother, William (Bill) ZITZLSPERGER was my uncle, so, I am trying to get information about the rest of his family, to put it all together. Any and all help will be appreciated. Thank You.
