I am trying to find information on Martha Virginia Brady who was born to Abner (or Abram) and Mary Brady and who married Joseph Marshall around 1869. Martha and Joseph had 3 children William Walker, Roseanie M who married Peter Goad, and George Cabell. Roseanie and Peter had 3 children Vinecia who married John Mabe, William Henry, and Ella Mae who married Clifford Riley. Martha is my great great aunt. This is all I have on Martha's descendants. I would like to track her descendants on down the line to see if anyone has more information. I have a several pictures that date back to the late 1800s early 1900s that could very well be some of this family. If anyone else has pictures, it would help to confirm this. Also, on the tombstone for Martha who is buried in the Cox cemetery at Dugspur, the last name is listed as Goad. I do not have any information on her marrying a Goad, but it could very well be because Joseph Marshall was a much older man and he died about 1890.

I am looking for information about Grand Sir (aka Big Sir) who married Sarah "Sally" PUCKETT. She was born in 1802. They were either married in Carroll County, Va or Surry County, NC. I have Puckett info but cannot find any info on Grand Sir. He was Cherokee. Any information or help is appreciated. I also have HORTON and MARSHALL and SHINAULT info to share. Thanks.

Any help with the following will be greatly appreciated.
Jonathan RICHARDSON (abt. 1796-abt 1870) & Nancy SHORT (abt. 1809-aft 1870) of Grayson/Carroll Co., VA had about ten children per the 1850 Census; Annotated by John Perry Alderman.
William Richardson (23 Dec 1840, Carroll/Grayson Co. - 10 May 1910, Carroll Co.) is shown as 10 years old living in the household of William & Nancy in the 1850 Carroll Co. Census. John Perry Alderman as well as many others, suggest William was the son of William and Nancy.
Hand-me-down accounts suggest William was illegitimate and not the son of William and Nancy. On his 1866-marriage license application, he list his mother as Rebecca Richardson and a line drawn for the name of his father. On this date, both Jonathan and Nancy were living.
I am trying to determine if Jonathan Richardson and Nancy Short had a daughter named Rebecca who may have been the mother of William.

I am looking for information on several famlies. John Jackson Boyd b. abt.1812 m. Leathea Moore in 27, Dec. 1836. Their childern were Samuel S. Boyd b. Sept. 1837 m. Nancy Ann Conner in Jan 1867. Sarah Puckett b. abt 1802 who I believe not have been married. She had several childern Costly H. Puckket b. 1840, Kelsey Puckeet b. abt 1828, Mary A. b.1836, and Roseyman b. abt 1825. Lived in Carroll Co. Her father may have been John Puckett. Also, I am looking for informaton on the following people; Joel Hubbard b. Feb 1791 m. Judith Conner b Jul 1795 her parents were John Conner & Lucy Robertson. Joel & Judith had Anna Hubbard she was b. Aug 1818 m. John Pendleton b. Sept. 1810 father was Prior Pendleton b. abt 1780 m. Mary Tuggle. Also, Harris, I am related to William F. Harris who was in courtroom shootout he was a juror. He was born Jan 06, 1840 in Vir. his parents were Eden Harris b. abt 1814 m. Cathrine Hurst. William fought in Civil War with some brother Jesse T. & John H. HARRIS. William m. on Sept 15, 1865 to Naraisah Jane Bolt b. Apr 12, 1842. she is descendent from John Bolt Sr. b. 1749-50. I would appreicate any help on any of these names or direction to look. Many Thanks

I am trying to locate information on Jacob Bishop who arrived in Carroll County abt 1854 from Floyd County with his wife Melvina and children. I am especially interested in learning about the property he purchased in the Wolf Glade section of Sulphur Springs District of the county. Anyone researching this line please contact me.
