FENDLEY, FINDLEY, FINLEY, GOING, RICKMAN -
Searching for information on and/or descendants of Peter Fendley (Findley, Finley), presumably s/o Hannah from Patrick Co.; m. 1797 in Patrick to Rebecca Going but moved to eastern Grayson circa 1804. Owned land on Reed Island, Beaverdam, and Buckhorn creeks. Known sons, from tax records and deeds: Edward, Thomas, Richard, Peter Jr., Randall/Randolph, James, Ellis. Son Thomas m. 1823 in Grayson to Polley Rickman. Most of the sons seem to have left at various points in the 1820s-30s, although Peter and sons Thomas & Ellis were still taxed in Carroll as late as 1847. Virtually the entire family is gone from the county by 1850--where?? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information on the Abel Edwards family which was in Carroll County in the mid to late 1700s. Any and all information appreciated. This family moved into Washinton County, Tn and then prior to the Civil War Joshua Edwards migrated to Western North Carolina (Graham County). Information will be shared with a network of cousins. I am searching for info on Guy Anderson DALTON born September 10, 1875 in Carroll County, VA. He married Elisa J. SAYERS. He was the son of Jefferson Thomas DALTON born about 1857 and Francis Elizabeth AUST born about 1857 also. Francis is showed in the Carroll Co. census as the daughter of Delilah ???. who may have been a FARMER. Any information on these people would be appreciated.
