Welcome to the Wythe County GenWeb site!
When someone traces their family tree in America, they will undoubtedly find ancestors that lived in Virginia, as I have.
The goal of the Wythe County GenWeb is to provide a repository of Wythe County records, primarily transcriptions of public records. However, since I no longer live in Virginia and have never lived in Wythe County, I need your help. Though I cannot do lookups in libraries, courthouses, and the like, I do have resources at home and will gladly do lookups as time permits. Please see the "Lookups" page of this site for a list of the publications I own.
This county site can only be successful through the support of volunteers. We need volunteers for submitting transcribed public records, sharing personal resources, and doing lookups for other researchers, so please consider becomine part of the team.
As I've created this website and will maintain it, I would appreciate notice of any errors in the site.
