ROGERSVILLE -- Lura D. Loomis, age
89, Rogersville, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at Church Hill Health Care
& Rehab Center following a long illness.
She was a life-long member of the Church of the Brethren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Ellie Duncan; two
sisters; and six brothers.
She is survived by her brother, Daniel H. Duncan, Rogersville;
step-daughter, Leota Loomis of Virginia; several nieces, nephews,
great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, at
Colboch-Price Chapel with Revs. C.D. Johnson and Steve Smith officiating.
Interment will follow in the Tunnell Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon - 2 p.m. prior to the services at
Colboch-Price Funeral Home, Rogersville.
