Born Jan. 14, 1916 in Bluefield, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Leland Lemon and Nancy Roberson Lemon. Mrs. Young had been a beautician, having owned Louella's Beauty Salon in downtown Bluefield for many years prior to her retirement in 1981. She was a life-long member of College Avenue Baptist Church. Her passion for arts and crafts was well known through out the area; she had won numerous awards over the years.
