IDDINGS, Mrs. Allie Carr, age 83, of 1821 Grandin Rd., Roanoke, died Thursday in a Wytheville nursing home.  She was the widow of John C. Iddings and was a member of the Raleigh Court United Methodist Church.  Surviving are one son, John C. Iddings, Princeton, W. Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Moore, East Liverpool, Ohio; Ms. Willie Adams, Roanoke; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.  Graveside services were at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Roselawn Cemetery, Princeton, W. Va.

Vinton -- Ralph Victor Iddings, age 80, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1987 at a local nursing home. He was the son of the late Charles M. and Agnes Nolley Iddings of Floyd County. Mr. Iddings was a former employee of the American Viscose Corp. with 33 years of service, and the Roanoke Sheriff's Dept. with 11 years of service. He was the widower of Beatrice Mills Iddings. Surviving are two sons, William F. Iddings, Vinton; Charles T. Iddings, Metarie, La.; a daughter Mrs. William R. (Jackie) Sheaff, Vinton; grandchildren, R. C., Victor, Stephanie, and Thomas Iddings; Robert W. Sheaff, Jr.; great grandchildren, Amie, Jennifer and Matthew Sheaff; a sister Mrs. Millard (Mobie) Epperly, Pilot; and devoted friends, Jim and Doshie King, Roanoke. She was a member of Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church and retired from Allstate Insurance. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Victor and Beatrice Mills Iddings; a brother, W. F. (Bill) Iddings; and her beloved husband of nearly 65 years, R. William (Bill) Sheaff, Sr. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert W. (Bob) Sheaff Jr. and wife, Pennee; her grandchildren, Amie Sheaff, Jennifer Sheaff Turner and husband, John, and Matthew William Sheaff; four great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Abby, Madeline, and Piper; a brother, Charles Thomas Iddings and wife, Liz. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Rev. B. Failes officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. William F. Iddings, age 61, of Vinton, died Thursday at his home. He was a Naval veteran of World War II and he was a retired police officer having served in a number of localities. Surviving are his son, Ralph C. Iddings, Staunton; a brother, Charles T. Iddings, Santa Fe, N. M.; a sister, Mrs. R. William Sheaff, Vinton. CHARLES THOMAS IDDINGS A loving husband and father went to be with our lord on January 27, 2014. Charles leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Elizabeth Iddings. He also leaves behind his eldest son Robert Victor Iddings (Karen), sons James Ryan and Adian Jeremiah; daughter Stephanie Renee Iddings and son Steven Charles; Mark Jason Martinez (Franchesca), sons Joshua Daniel and Jason Levi, daughter Stephanie and her son Josiah; and youngest son Thomas Joseph Iddings (Amy) and daughter Evelyn Rose. Charles also leaves behind a nephew in Virginia, Bobby Sheaff (Penny) and their children. Additionally, Charles leaves behind many wonderful friends in New Mexico and Virginia. Charles is preceded in death by his parents Ralph Victor Iddings and Beatrice Mills Iddings, his brother William Iddings and sister Jackie Iddings Sheaff and brother-in-law William Sheaff, along with his daughter Lisa. Charles served in the U.S. Navy abroad The USS Conyngham, DDG-17 as an electrician during Vietnam from 1963 through 1965; he also worked for the Centers for Disease Control 1965 through 1994; and ending his work for the Public Health Service at the state of New Mexico 1995 through 2005. A grave side service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
