Henry Clyde Reed May 1, 2015
Lois Dulaney Reed May 6, 2015

Clyde and Lois grew up in Floyd County, Virginia and married in September of 1955. Their lives were spent “together”. When Clyde served in the United States Army, Lois traveled with him to each of his stations. They returned to Floyd with their daughter, Rhonda, and began a life of hard work, happiness, dedication to family and friends. Clyde worked at Burlington Industries and farmed-another full time job-with Lois working by his side. They raised cattle, harvested hay, braved harsh winters, celebrated good times and stood strong in trials. They were life-long members of Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren.

In 2009 they began spending time in Pensacola with their daughter. Here, they were blessed to meet new people who learned quickly that Clyde and Lois were devoted and faithful to their God, their daughter and their friends. They attended Beulah Free Will Baptist Church in Pensacola.

Just as they spent their life, Clyde and Lois left this world together. God blessed them with a rare and precious life together, leaving behind many memories and those who will miss them. Heaven is a brighter place though, and they have begun an eternity together with their Heavenly Father. They are survived by their daughter, Rhonda Sue Reed of Pensacola and numerous family members in Virginia.

A celebration of their life will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Tuesday, May 19 at 3:00 with Pastor Blake Nance officiating.

The family will receive friends for 30 minutes prior to the service.

Anyone wishing to make a gift of remembrance for Lois and Clyde are asked to consider Covenant Hospice of Pensacola.
