Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member
of Bethel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Thurman and Lena H. Epperly. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years,
Lois Epperly; his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Kathy Epperly,
Wytheville; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Denie Marie, Blacksburg; step granddaughter,
Kelly Widner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dewey and Nancy Epperly, Jerry and
Bonnie Epperly; half-sister, Beulah Nunley; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Epperly,
Jenny Hylton; and brother-in-law, Eddie Walters. The family will receive
friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2006 at the
Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Morris officiating. Interment
will follow in Huffville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests
that memorial contributions be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church

survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dewey and Nancy Epperly,
Charlie and Lois Epperly, Jerry and Bonnie Epperly, two sisters and a
brother-in-law, Beulah Nunley and Frances and Eddie Walters sister in law
Dorothy Epperly and Jenny Hylton. She was greatly laved by her many nieces
and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Skyline Manor Nursing
Home for the love and the care that they gave Shirley in her short stay
there. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p-m. Thursday April
25,2002 at the Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service was conducted at the
