Mrs. Eliza Lawrence Epperly, 87, died last night at her home, 1720 Sherwood Ave., SW.
Surviving are two daughters and a son: Mrs. C. W. Sowers, Troutville; Mrs. O. H. Harrison, Roanoke; Henry E. Epperly, Lynchburg; a sister and two brothers; Mrs. J. J. Owen and K. W. Lawrence, Salem; G. W. Lawrence, Princeton, W. Va.; five grandchildren and four great grand children. Mrs. Epperly was born in Floyd County and for many years operated a store and Mill near Red Oak Grove. She lived in Christiansburg for a time and came to Roanoke about 1917. She was the widow of George W. Epperly.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Oakey's Chapel with burial in East Hill Cemetery, Salem.
