Sacred Bull of India on Texas Cattle Ranch
December 12, 1919
Photo shows “Three Circle,” said
to be the only living sacred bull in this country that
was once in a temple in India. Mr. Borden, of the Ward Cattle
Company of Palacios,
Texas, imported this sacred bull at a cost reported to be
$75,000 and the dethroning
of a priest is said to have followed the sale of the bull, which
is now the property of
Mr. Fred G. Lock and is on the Crescent V Ranch, Palacios,
Texas. It is stated that
Mr. Lock has refused a big price for the bull offered by a big
showman.
