Also look at the 1850 & 1860 Slave Census
They do not name the slaves but you get a set of sex and gender and number of slaves to compare with.
These can be matched to the 1870 Census and a family can match to determine their owner.
If you get the family figured out, then research the owner in all the records you can find. Be sure to follow them back to where they came from and so on . You will find various records giving more slave name and perhaps they have even more records describing the places and years unfold. Court records, manumissions, sale bills and so on.
