HAROLD F. NIESE, 73, died at 9:58 a.m. May 14, 1996 in St. Rita's Medical Center.  He was born April 29, 1923, in Putnam County to Louis and Florence (Siefer) Niese.  On June 12, 1951, he married Colettao Schroeder, who survives.  Mr. Niese retired in 1984 from Allied Agry, Leipsic, and was a farmer.  He was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, and its Holy Name Society and Leipsic Veterans of: Foreign Wars.  He was a veteran.  Survivors also include a son Marvin (Diana) Niese of Leipsic; two daughters, Janet, (Mark) Meyer of Leipsic and Colleen (Jim) Phillips of Defiance; a brother, Virgil Niese of Leipsic; two sisters, Mildred Bidlack and Dolores Lammers, both of Leipsic; and 10 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Niese.Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic.  The Rev. John Joseph will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Leipsic with military rites.  Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic, where a Holy Name Society rosary will begin at 8:30 tonight and a Scripture service at 8:45 p.m. Thursday.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.

MARY A. NIESE, 80, died at 12:20 p.m. Nov. 15, 1996, at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.  She was born Oct. 24, 1916, in Putnam County to Albert and Agatha (Stechschulte) Karhoff.  On Aug. 28, 1940, she married Hugo J. Niese, who died July 13, 1979.   Mrs. Niese was a homemaker.  She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, and its Altar Rosary Society.  Survivors include two sons, Donald E. (Jane) Niese and Richard (Linda) Niese, both of Ottawa; two daughters, Marie (Ralph) Heitmeyer of Ottawa and Rosemary (Gerald) Sager of Rocky Mount, N.C.; a brother, Alphonse Karhoff of Leesburg, Fla.; two sisters, Lucille Morman and Deloris German, both of Boca Raton, Fla.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Emmel; and a grandson.  Services, will begin at 10 a.m.Monday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.  The Rev.' Ralph Schneider will officiate.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at McCrate-Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a Scripture service will begin at 8:45 p.m. Sunday.
