Volunteering to perform Lookups
Your help is needed with this totally volunteer effort!
Individuals who coordinate the county
pages for Ohio do so on their own time and without monetary
compensation. They do it out of a passion for genealogy. One of the
requirements for each county is a provision for Look-Up's. Each
coordinator must find volunteers to provide this service.
If you can help, please email your county coordinator.
Requesting a volunteer's help:
Use the following format in submitting your request:
-
On the SUBJECT line, enter "LOOKUP PUTNAM"
On the first line of the message, enter the type of lookup, e.g. cemetery, birth record, obituary, etc.
On the subsequent line(s) of the message, describe exactly what item you want looked up.
At the end of your message, please put your name, "snail mail" address and e-mail address for reply.
NOTE: Requests for "any and all information" about someone might be requested to pay a small look up charge.
And, always take the time to thank those who help you!
Foremost in your plans, you must pay for copies and costs incurred in mailings.
