Mrs. Mary Mae Adams, 75, of 3561 Harley Rd., died yesterday in Toledo Hospital.
Mrs. Adams was born in Millersville, O., and lived in Toledo 65 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the United
Spanish-American War Veterans. Surviving are a son, Leonard N.; daughters, Mrs. Florence Danhauer and Mrs. Dorothy Kolodzaike, Toledo,
and Mrs. Jeanette Pinniger, Lambertville, Mich.; sisters, Mrs. Ida Diehold, Toledo; Mrs. Veronica Plack, Charleston, W. Va., and
Mrs. Leona Mominee, Barbeau, Mich.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the H. H. Birkenkamp Mortuary, Broadway. Burial will be in Toledo Memorial Park. A USWV Auxiliary
service will be tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.

John J. Haskins, 67, of 2412 Forest Valley Drive died at 1:45 a.m. yesterday in Parkview Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Chicago and had resided in Fort Wayne 30 years. Mr. Haskins retired four years ago from Dana Corp.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret; and a sister, Mrs. Mayme Bonin, Chicago.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Mungovan & Sons Lakeside Chapel and 10 a.m. in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
Rosary services will be at 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, with calling from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be in
Calvary Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio.

Mrs. Hazel M. Hill, 65, of 644 Toronto Ave., died yesterday in Toledo Hospital.
Mrs. Hill, born in Vermillion, O., lived here 45 years. She was employed the last nine years as a fitter at the Sophia Lustig Shop
and previously was a fitter at the former Meyer, Jonasson Co. about 15 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and
its Mary Martha Society and Fellowship Group. Surviving are her husband, Edmund A.; daughter, Mrs. Phyllis J. Schmidt, Toledo; son,
Robert E. Dallas, Tex.; brothers Paul H. Treter and Ernest J. Treter, Sr., Toledo, and six grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Walter Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. C. Umhau Wolf. Burial will be in Toledo Memorial Park.
The family requests any tributes be in the form of donations to the St. Paul's Lutheran Forward Fund.

Robert L. Hollopeter, 62, of 642 Parker Ave., died Sunday in the Eastview Nursing Home where he had been a patient three days.
He had been a billing clerk for a trucking firm and a postal clerk before retiring because of disability 16 years ago. Surviving
are his sister, Mrs. Hazel Kumnick, and brother, Ralph. Services will be Wednesday, at 1 p.m. in the Eggleston-Meinert Mortuary, Main Street.

Robert S. Beverlin, 82, of Cedarbrook Dr., passed away Saturday in Spring Meadows Nursing Facility. Mr. Beverlin was a lifelong
resident of Toledo and graduated Scott High School in 1929. He earned his B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University
of Wisconsin in 1933. Mr. Beverlin was Chief Engineer for Hall Manufacturing from 1933-47 and Sales Engineer for City Auto Stamping Co.
(Globe Wernicke Industries), 1947-64, General Tire and Rubber Co., 1964-69, and W. R. Grace & Co., 1970-77. After retiring from
W. R. Grace & Co., Mr. Beverlin worked as a Consultant for the Budd Co., Fillite USA, Faskure Technology, LOF Plastics, Inc., and
Heilerbond Technology. Bob volunteered at Toledo Botanical Gardens (Crosby Gardens) in the Gift Shop and conducting tours since 1983
and belonged to the Society of Automotive Engineers and the Society of Plastic Engineers. He was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years,
Marietta (Roop) Beverlin and is survived by his son, James R. Beverlin of Paris, MI; brother Jack Beverlin of Toledo; and sister,
Virginia Brown of Toledo. Friends may visit the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave. from 7-9 p.m., Monday and 2-9 p.m.,
Tuesday, where the Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday. His family requests tributes to Toledo Botanical Gardens,

Alpheus M. Kern, 82, of 121 Mott Ave., died Friday in his home. Born in Decatur, Ind., he lived in Toledo 46 years.
He operated his own plumbing shop 13 years before going to work for the Marleau Hardware Co. about 1950. He retired two years ago.
He was a member of Calumet Lodge; F & AM. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Adonette Grundish, Monroe, Mich. Services will be tomorrow
at 1 p.m. in the Pierstorff Mortuary, with burial in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Calumet Lodge will conduct services at 8 o'clock tonight.

Otto T. Karst, age 89 years, formerly of Vogel Drive, passed away Friday, November 9, 2001, in the Astor House of
Spring Meadows Extended Care Center. Otto was the widower of Marie B. Karst. Otto had been a grocery store manager and supervisor
with the Food Town Corporation for over 24 years. He was a long time member of the West Toledo Knights of Columbus # 3122 and was
an avid bowler in their league, once bowling a 708 series. He was a life long member of the Catholic Knights of Ohio, very active
in the St. Vincent DePaul Society and was the first manager (non-owner) that Food Town hired.
Surviving is his loving son, Dr. Thomas (Barbara) Karst; loving daughters, Carol Walker and Judith (Gerald) Myers; 13 grandchildren;
16 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Otto will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.
Relatives and friends may visit at the Blanchard Brothers Funeral Home, 1163 W. Sylvania Ave. at Lockwood, from 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to
9 p.m. Monday where there will be a Rosary Service with the West Toledo Knights of Columbus # 3122 at 4 p.m. Prayers will be offered
in the mortuary Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. continuing with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment
Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be offered to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of Christ the King Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Kirsch and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kirsch left Monday for Toledo where they attended the funeral
services of Miss Clara Liebenguth, who died at the hospital early Sunday morning, after an illness of several weeks. Miss Clara was
a former resident here and was a very popular lady. She moved to Toledo with her mother about two weeks ago.

ALICE MATHEWSON - Former Waterville Restaurant Operator
Mrs. Alice Mathewson, 79, of 19 North River Rd., Waterville, former restaurant operator, died today in Toledo Hospital.
Mrs. Mathewson, born in Decatur, Ind., lived in the Waterville and Bowling Green areas 46 (or 48) years. She and her
late husband, George, were former operators of the Mathewson Restaurant in Waterville.
Mrs. Mathewson was a member of the United Methodist Church, Flower Hospital Guild, Friendly Center Service Guild, Women's
Auxiliary of Toledo Goodwill Industries, Fallen Timbers, Rebekah Lodge, Royal Neighbors Lodge, and Anthony Wayne Area Senior Citizens Club.
Surviving are her son, Raymond, of Waterville; daughters, Mrs. Willard Evans of Bowling Green and Mrs. Sidney Perry, of Waterville;
sister, Mrs. Steve Roessler of Lima; brothers, Roy Daugherty of Ft. Wayne and Water Daugherty, of California; seven grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren. The body will be in Marriam Mortuary, Waterville, after 7 p.m. Saturday. Services will be Monday
at 2 p.m. in the mortuary, with burial in Wakeman Cemetery, Waterville. Rebekah services will be Sunday at 8:30 p.m.

He owned the Toledo Refrigeration Co. from 1956 until 1966. He then operated Paul's Refrigeration Service. Surviving is his

Milton R. Roop, 75, of Coldwater, Mich., and formerly of the 2600 block of Crissey Road, Sylvania, died today in Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo Mich. A resident of Sylvania until 1970, he was a meat cutter for the former Home Packing Co., 18 years. Subsequently, he was a maintenance worker for the Grogan Realty Co., 4 years, retiring in 1971. Surviving are his daughters, Mrs. Norma McComb, Mrs. Margaret Minich, Mrs. Beverly Wright, Mrs. Alice Kobeck and Mrs. Sherryl Smith; sons, Robert and Milton V. and brother Miland. The body will be in the Reeb Mortuary, Sylvania, after 1 p.m. Friday, with services at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Mrs. Roop, a native of Alexandria, Va., lived in Toledo 21 years. She attended Maplewood Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband Ralph; daughter, Mrs. Annette Wilson, and son, Wayne, both of Toledo, and one granddaughter.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Walter Mortuary, with burial in Maplewood Cemetery. The body will be in the mortuary tonight after 7.

Sterling K. Roop, 55, of 2757 Tremainsville Rd.,, who was paralyzed fom the waist down the last 2 1/2 years following an auto accident on
Airport Highway, died yesterday. Mr. Roop, born in Decatur, Ind., lived in Toledo 50 years. With his wife, Mary F., he operated the Star Poultry Co.
the past six years. He was a former partner in the Red-Ster Inn and a former employee of the Dana Dorp., where he was a union steward from 1940
to 1950. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge.
Surviving also are his brothers, Paul and Ernest, and sister, Mrs. Vivian Miller, all of Toledo.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Boyer-Van Wormer Mortuary, Secor Road, with burial in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

William J. Roope, 61, former sales manager for the Sun Oil Co. here, died of a heart
attack in Detroit yesterday morning. Mr. Roope joined the Sun Oil Co. in 1930 and left two years ago to take over the Detroit distributorship for the
Cincinnati Time Recorder Co. Before coming to Toledo, Mr. Roope worked in Seattle, Wash., and Portland, Ore. He was a 32nd degree Mason, affiliated with
the Portland organization. Surviving are wife, Harriett L.; daughter, Mrs. E. G. Dill, State College, Pa., and one grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the Bennett Mortuary.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

services Friday at Noon and funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with entombment in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon for Robert Eugene Williams, 36, of route 1 Ohio City, O., and his daughter,
Pamela, 2, who were killed in an auto accident late Sunday night in Middletown, O. The funeral services will be held at the Ketcham
and Ripley funeral home in Rockford, O., at 2 p.m. (Ohio time) with Rev. Samuel Brewster officiating. Burial will be in the
Woodlawn funeral home, Ohio City. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. (Ohio time) Wednesday.
A son, Kevin, 9, is in poor condition in Children's hospital, Cincinnati, and a daughter, Kathy, 8, is in serious condition at
a Middletown hospital. Mrs. Mary Williams, 31, and another daughter, one-year-old Vicki, were also hospitalized. Three other children,
David, 11, Susan, 6, and Darren, 4, were not hurt. The Williams car was reportedly struck broadside at a dangerous intersection in
Middletown by another driven by Gregory Isaacs, 20, who claimed his brakes failed. He and a passenger were treated for minor injuries
and released. Isaacs was charged with failure to yield. It was reported that the Williams family was en route home from a trip to Kentucky.
Robert Williams
Robert Eugene Williams was born Oct. 4, 1936, in Liberty Township, Van Wert ,O., a son of James and Frances Kaywood-Williams, and was
married to Mary Katherine Felver. Mr. Williams was a tool and die maker at the International Harvester, Fort Wayne. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are his parents; his wife; six children, David, Kevin, Darren, Kathy, Susan and Vicki; one sister, Mrs. Janet Winkler of
Wapakoneta; three brothers, Wayne of Van Wert; Royce and Elvin of Rockford.
Pamela Marie Williams was born August 2, 1970 in Decatur, the daughter of Robert and Mary Katherine Felver-Williams.
Surviving are his mother and six brothers and sisters. A brother, Steven, was killed in an accident in front of the family home in
1969 when he darted into the path of a car.
Also surviving are the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Williams, route 2, Rockford, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Felver, of Willshire.
