NEW Central Rappahannock Heritage Center

The Central Rappahannock Heritage Center is having a February special.  If anyone joins the CRHC in February (individual membership is $25.00) they will get three hours of free research plus the first four copies are free.  The CRHC normally charges $10.00 per half hour of research.  This is a huge savings!

Thank you!

Diane Ballman

CRHC Volunteer

The Center collects, preserves and makes available
for study, various documents and paper items (books, maps, deeds, wills, marriage records, letters, business records, photographs, postcard, paper memorabilia, etc) relevant to the area (Stafford, King George, Caroline, Spotsylvania and Fredericksburg City).

We also have some material on bordering counties, i.e.,. Prince William, Orange, Essex, etc.  Our material is donated by organizations, private citizens and the counties.

We invite you to visit us, we are open 10 to 4 Tuesdays and Thursdays (call first, we are staffed by volunteers) and by appointment.  There is no admission charge, we do accept donations and charge $.50 per page for copies.  Members get a quarterly news bulletin and a 10% discount on most archival supplies.

We are
located at 900 Barton Street in Fredericksburg, VA.

You can also e-mail them at crhc@verizon.net or call them at 540-373-3704. They will do research $10.00 per half hour.

They are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10 to 4. And beginning Nov 1, 2008, they will be open the first Saturday of every month from 9 am to noon.

And their website is http://www.crhcarchives.org
