Eli ELAM Order Book Notes

Order Book 18, page 278, 1817

On the motion of Benjamin Harrison who made oath and together with Edward Travis his security entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of one thousand dollars conditioned as the law directs certificate is granted unto the said Benjamin Harrison for obtaining letters of administration on the estate of Eli Elam, deceased, in due form.

Order Book 18, page 280, 1817

Ordered that Edward Travis, Green Blanton, William Blanton and Martin Pucket or any three of them being first sworn before some Magistrate of this County do appraise in current money the personal estate and slaves if any of Eli Elam, deceased, and return the appraisement to the court.
