Rachel CARTER to John MAYES 1778 Deed

A tract on the Roanoke River that adjoined this on the NW was described as being opposite of Blue Stone Creek. It appears Aaron Creek mentioned in this Carter to Mayes deed is referenced as such because of the adjoining land of Aaron Pinson, the reference not being to Aarons Creek that now divides Mecklenburg and Halifax. --JoLee Spears 12 Nov 1999
