GOAD, SMITH -
Looking for information on an Achilles Smith who was born in 1809 in VA -- possibly in Bedford County. As a young child, he left VA and possibly went to Tennessee - maybe with the Goad family. In 1828, he was a bondsboy and migrated to Warrick Co., IN with the Goad family. IN 1831, Achilles married a Jane Goad in Warrick County, IN. Will be glad to share information -- been looking for the parents of Achilles Smith for five years. Thanks,

I am on the board for the Friends of New London, Inc. The purpose of our organization is to seek, gather and disseminate data about the New London area of Campbell County. New London was the county seat of Bedford County, but fell with the boundaries of Campbell County, when it was formed in 1781. I am seeking photos showing the people, buildings etc.. in New London. If you have any that you would like to share with our organization please let me know. In addition, I am seeking names of those men who served at New London during the Revolutionary War. If anyone had an ancestor that served here or knows of someone who did that would be helpful info. Thanks!

I am looking for the marriage record of Saria FLUD (or Sarah FLOOD) to William YOUNG dated Dec. 25, 1825. It occured in Bedford County either in Penn. or Virginia. I would also like to know who their parents and siblings were. Thanks.
