Entered the service at Grand Island, Neb., and was sent to Fort Logan, for training in Co. F, (Artillery), 2d Division. Saw service at Chateau-Thierry, St. Mihiel, Argonne Forest, and later with the Army of Occupation in Germany.

2. Sergeant Rolland D. Treat,    Son of Mrs. Truda B. Grafius, Fowler, Colo.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., May 2, 1918, and sent to Camp Fremont, Calif., for training in Co. G, 8th Ammunition Train, 8th Division. Later training at Camp Mills and Camp Lee. Discharged February 12, 1919.

3. J. O. Sexton,    Son of Patrick Sexton, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., and trained at Camp Dodge, Iowa, for duty with Co. D, 338th Field Artillery. Later seeing service in France, doing Military Police Guard at Bordeaux, France.

4. Patrick Sexton,    Son of Patrick Sexton, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Denver, Colo., for duty as infantryman in the U. S. Army. Was on guard duty at the state capitol.

5. Private David H. Drage,    Son of Mrs. Angeline Drage, Soldier, Kan.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., March 4, 1918, and trained at Ft. Riley, Kan., for duty in Evacuation Hospital No. 11, Medical Department. Saw service at St. Mihiel and Argonne Forest. Discharged March 27, 1919.

6. Alexander Lindner, Farrier,    Son of Ernest Lindner, Sartoria, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., July 21, 1918, and trained at Camp Dodge, Camp Lee and Camp Merritt, for duty in the veterinary department of the U. S. Army. Discharged January 21, 1919.

7. Corporal Reamor E. Swift,    Son of Blighe Swift, Watertown, Neb.
Entered the service at Ft. Logan, Colo., August 11, 1917, and trained at that place and at Madro Barracks, N. Y., for duty in Commissary No. 5, 89th Division. Saw service in France and later in Germany with Army of Occupation.

8. Private Robert D. Swift,    Son of Blighe Swift, Watertown, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Sept. 19, 1917, and trained at Camp Funston, for duty with M. D. 355th Infantry, 89th Division. Saw service at St. Mihiel and later in Germany. Discharged March 25, 1919.

1. William Oliver Mays,    Son of Samuel Mays, Elmcreek, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Sept. 19, 1917, and was trained at Camp Funston, and Camp Cody, for duty with Co. C, 313th Infantry, 77th Division. Saw service on the firing line for the last twenty days of fighting.

2. Private Elmer Wermuth,    Son of Mrs. Emma Wermuth, Cazenovia, N. Y.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., April 29, 1918, and trained at Camp Funston, for duty with Co. B, 341st M. G. Bat., 89th Division. In Battle of Verdun and wounded by shrapnel in both hands. In hospital ten weeks with pneumonia, later in the Army of Occupation. Discharged 4, 2, '19.

3. Private Fred O. Geisert,    Son of Mrs. Martha Geisert, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Sept. 19, 1917, and trained at Camp Funston, for duty with Co. A, 319th M. G. Bat., 82d Division. Saw service in Lagney and Martache sectors, and St. Mihiel, Banteney, Cherpentery, Fleville, Chatel-Chehery, La-Viergene, and Argonne-Meuse offensives. Discharged May 23, 1919.

4. Jesse W. Lane,    Son of John W. Lane, Pleasanton, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., March 4, 1918, and was trained at Camp Funston and Fort Des Moines, for duty with the Medical Corps.

5. Sergeant A. G. V. Hays,    Son of Felix G. Hays, Pleasanton, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Sept. 7, 1917, and trained at Camp Funston and later in Brechainville, France, for duty with Co. F, 355th Infantry. Saw service at St. Mihiel and Argonne Woods. Wounded. Discharged Feb. 3, 1919.

6. Private George E. King,    Son of Milton King, Amherst, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Sept. 19, 1917, and trained at Camp Funston, for duty with Co. A, 341st M. G. Bat., 89th Division. Taken with spinal meningitis and disqualified for military service. Discharged June 5, 1918.

7. Private Ray Luce,    Son of Geo. W. Luce, Poole, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., April 30, 1918, and trained at Camp Funston, for duty with Co. K, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. Saw service in France and later in the Army of Occupation, at Saarburg, Germany.

8. Private Dean Luce,    Son of Geo. W. Luce, Poole, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., March 4, 1918, and trained at Ft. Riley, for duty with the 40th Ammunition Train, 6th Division. Saw service in France, later returning to this country for demobilization.

1. Private Gordon B. Harrold,    Son of H. Harrold, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., May 2, 19i8, and was trained at Camp Fremont, and Camp Mills, for duty with Ammunition Train, Co. G, 8th Division. Was to have sailed November 3, 1918, but was turned back to Camp Lee, and received his discharge February 12, 1919.

2. Melvin Herzog,    Son of Fred Herzog, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., July 21, 1918, and was trained at Camp Dodge, for duty in Co. 35, 163d Depot Brigade. Remained at Camp Dodge until after armistice was signed and discharged December 19, 1918.

3. Private Lawrence J. Gass,    Son of Nic Gass, Gibbon, Neb.
Entered the service at Grand Island, Neb., May 18, 1918, and trained at Ft. Winfield Scott, for duty in Battery F. 67th C. A. C., 35th Brigade. Spent six months in France. Discharged March 20, 1919, at Camp Dodge.

4. Private Carl O. Poole,    Son of Geo. W. Poole, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Lincoln, Neb., in 1917, and trained at Ft. Logan, and Ft. Riley, for duty in the 21st Ambulance Co., Saw service in France, and later in Luxemburg.

5. Clifford A. Larimer,    Son of R. P. Larimer, Kearney, Neb.
Member of old Co. L, on the Mexican Border trouble, joining the service for World War, and going to France as a member of 145th M. G. Battalion. Discharged during summer of 1919.

6. Raymond Gillming,    Son of Ed Gillming, Riverdale, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., April 29, 1918 and trained at Camp Funston and Camp Mills, for duty with 341st M. G. Battalion. Started across, was taken sick and put off at Halifax, N.S. Sent to Ft. Patten where he was discharged.

7. Charlie T. Shields,    Son of Frank Shields, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Oct. 3, 1917, and trained at Camp Funston, for duty with Hdq. Co., 355th Engineers. Discharged from service Dec. 14, 1917.

8. Foster Reynolds,    Son of Edgar C. Reynolds, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., March 28, 1917, Co. L, 4th Neb., trained at Camp Cody for duty with Battery E, 127th F. A. 34th Division. Saw service at Chateau-Thierry, Soissons, and Battle of Argonne Forest. Discharged April 5, 1919. In Battery A, 119th F. A. 32d Div., in France.

Entered the service, at Kearney, Neb., Sept. 19, 1918, and trained at Camp Funston, Kansas, for duty in Co. L, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. Received his discharge papers on March 9, 1918.

2. Frank A. Bills, Master Engineer,    Son of F. A. Bills, Shelton, Neb.
Entered the service at Los Angeles, Calif., and trained for duty in Co. B, 61st Engineers. Saw service in France beginning July 1, 1918 and was still there in the early summer of 1919.

3. Robert Anderson, Mechanic,    Son of Chris Anderson, Lowell, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., and trained at Camp Cody, for duty in Battery D, 34th Division. Saw three months service in France and received discharge January 22, 1919.

4. Sergeant Harold A. Firkins,    Son of George A. Firkins, Gibbon, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., July 22, 1918, and trained at Camp Dodge, and special instruction at Chicago, Ill., for duty as Army Meat Inspector. Was assistant camp meat inspector at Camp Sheridan, Ala. Discharged Dec. 12, '18.

5. Private Oscar E. Applegate,    Son of J. M. Applegate, Gibbon, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Sept. 18, 1918, and trained at Manhattan, Kan., anad [sic] Camp McArthur, for duty as Auto Mechanic in Co. H, Central Infantry Officers Training School. Discharged November 30, 1918. Resides at Asheville, North Carolina.

6. Private John W. McLean,    Son of Kenneth McLean, Ravenna, Neb.
Entered the service at Grand Island, Neb., Dec. 12, 1917, and trained at Ft. Logan, Fort Scott, and Fort Mills, P. I., for duty in 8th Co., Coast Artillery. Saw service in Japan and Hawaiian Islands.

7. Sergeant Charles Fox,    Son of H. W. Fox, Miller, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., April 1, 1918, and was trained at Camp Funston, for duty with Battery C, 29th Infantry, 10th Division. Spent three months in the Depot Brigade as an instructor, and did not get overseas.

8. Corporal Roscoe Bruner,    Son of H. C. Bruner, Shelton, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., July 21, 1918, and was trained at Camp Dodge, for duty in Co. I, Depot Brigade. Discharged March 18, 1919.

Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Sept. 19, 1917, and trained at Camp Funston, for duty as cook in the American Expeditionary Forces. Discharged April 29, 1919.

3. Private Cecil E. Pease,    Son of T. H. Pease, Elmcreek, Neb.
Entered the service at Lincoln, Neb., in October, 1918, and was trained at Neb. State Uni., S. A. T. C., for duty in Co. A. Discharged December 13, 1918.

4. Private Herbert E. Nye,    Son of Will G. Nye, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., May 2, 1918, and was trained at Ft. Logan and Camp Fremont, for duty with Co. A, Ammunition Train, 8th Division. Transferred to Camp Mills, later to Camp Lee and Camp Dodge, receiving his discharge.

5. Private Earl Clifford Armstrong,    Son of Mrs. Florence Armstrong, Elmcreek, Neb.
Entered the service October 18, 1918, through the State Normal S. A. T. C. at Kearney, Neb. Kept in training until December 13, 1918, when he received his discharge.

6. Sergeant Herman A. Hackman,    Son of W. C. Hackman, Shelton, Neb.
Entered the service at Worland, Wyo., and trained at Camp Grant, and Camp Hancock, for duty with Co. I, 3d Battalion, 2nd Group, remount division. Discharged June 4, 1919.

7. Private Don F. Slattery,    Son of Thomas N. Slattery, St. Louis, Mo.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., in June, 1917, and trained at Ft. Crook, and Camp Cody, for duty with Co. E, 107th Ammunition Train. Saw service in France for two months. Discharged in January, 1919.

8. Private Richard D. Oglebie,    Son of F. M. Oglebie, Shelton, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., June 4, 1917, and was trained at Ft. Crook and Camp Cody, for duty with the 128th Infantry, 32d Division. Saw service at Soissons and in the Argonne region. Reported wounded. [See here for further information]
