Survivors include his wife, Hazel Hubbard Yeatts of Floyd; three step-daughters and husbands, Lois and Dale Pugh of Floyd, Barbara and Kelly Kidd of Floyd, Debbie and Jerry Huff of Christiansburg; one step-son and wife, David and Gladys Hubbard Christiansburg; six step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and two nephews, James Cook Yeatts III of Mount Airy, NC, and Larry Yeatts of Roanoke. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joseph Womack officiating. Burial will follow in Jacksonville Cemetery. She is survived by two daughters and husband, Almeda Jackson Whitlock and Richard David Conner, and Rebeklah Leah Whitlock Kinsley; five sons and wives, Elinos "Alton" Whitlock, Jr. and Stella Lois Ward, Donny "Dale" Whitlock, Clyde Marlyn Whitlock and Arline June Gordy, Perry Lee Whitlock and Candy Lynn John, and Joe David Whitlock; 26 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a brother, James David Yeatts. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2004 at the Presbyterian Church in Floyd with Rev. David Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the Wright Cemetery. Yeatts of Christiansburg; sister, Hazel Radford of Hagerstown, Md.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2001 at 2 p.m. at Copper Hill Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Doug Jones, the Rev. Frank Wimmer, and the Rev. Dale Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in Restvale Cemetery. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in France and Germany. He saw action days before The Battle Of The Bulge and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was born February 20, 1924 to Thomas Alfred and Mary Ollie Blackwell Yeatts. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Joe Paul Yeatts, Thomas Lewis Yeatts, Dr. Silas Terry Yeatts, James Cook Yeatts, Thomas Alfred Yeatts Jr., and Edwin Lee (Ed) Yeatts; six sisters, Estella Yeatts Whitlock, Ruby Bell Yeatts, Mary Ester (Mae) Hester, Annie Pearl Graham, Cella Wade and Ethel Smith;and one sister-in-law, Helen K. Yeatts.
