2001 in a Salem hospital. She was a member of Copper Hill Church of the
Brethren. She is survived by a daughter, Lois Y. Board of Check; four sons,
Albert (Buck) Yeatts of Copper Hill, Wayne Yeatts of Salem, R. Lowell Yeatts
of Check, Roger E. Yeatts of Christiansburg; sister, Hazel Radford of
Hagerstown, Md.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral
services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2001 at 2 p.m. at Copper Hill Church
of the Brethren with the Rev. Doug Jones, the Rev. Frank Wimmer, and the Rev.
Dale Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in Restvale Cemetery. Friends
may call Tuesday after 3 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will
be from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Floyd County
Station 3 Fire and Rescue Squad. Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Roy Turpin officiating and interment following at Restvale Cemetery. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Thomas (Tommy) Yeatts, Dr. Silas Terry Yeatts, James Cook Yeatts, Thomas Alfred Yeatts, Jr., and Edwin Lee (Ed) Yeatts; five sisters, Ruby Bell Yeatts, Mary Ester (Mae) Hester, Annie (Pearl) Graham, Clella Wade, and Ethel Smith. He is survived by one sister, Estella Yeatts of Floyd, one brother, James David Yeatts of Charlottesville; one sister-in-law, Helen K. Yeatts of Check. James D. Yeatts passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in France and Germany. He saw action days before The Battle Of The Bulge and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was born February 20, 1924 to Thomas Alfred and Mary Ollie Blackwell Yeatts. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Joe Paul Yeatts, Thomas Lewis Yeatts, Dr. Silas Terry Yeatts, James Cook Yeatts, Thomas Alfred Yeatts Jr., and Edwin Lee (Ed) Yeatts; six sisters, Estella Yeatts Whitlock, Ruby Bell Yeatts, Mary Ester (Mae) Hester, Annie Pearl Graham, Cella Wade and Ethel Smith;and one sister-in-law, Helen K.
