James W. & Hannah (Smith) Iddings. Yes, these are the parents given in her marriage record but I’m not sure this is correct….

Sarah’s mother is undoubtedly Hannah Smith, d/o Jabez & Elizabeth (Light) Smith. [Smith_Other_fcva] Hannah was married to Joseph B. Tankersly in 1844 but they are in separate households in 1850 & Hannah remarries in 1856 to Anderson Whitenack but I don’t know that he is Sarah’s father either. Sarah is with Anderson & his 1^st wife Elizabeth (Smith) Iddings, but she is noted as Sarah E. Tankersly. Elizabeth (Smith) Iddings was Hannah’s mother from her 1^st marriage to Jabez Smith. Then to make things more confusing, Sarah Elizabeth Eanes’ death record gives Anderson Iddings & Hannah Smith as her parents. There are Chancery Records that may sort this out.
