IDDINGS, Daniel Ellis, 86, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, December 15, 1999. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert Clay Iddings and Nora Lake Iddings, and by his brother Frank G. Iddings, of the Blacksburg area. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Audry Iddings, of Blacksburg; two sisters, Lillian Iddings Jennings, of Clinton, Md., and Virginia Iddings Lovern, of Roanoke; a very special niece, Regina Ratliff, of Clinton, Md., of whom he was very close; and many other nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved very much. Mr. Iddings was a member of the Virginia National Guard during the 1930's and also worked at the Kroger bakery. He and his father were contractors and also did interior decorating. He was a good man with a strong faith in Christ. A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 1999 at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Murphy D. Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton, Roanoke Co., VA. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, December 17, 1999 at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.

LOVERN, Virginia Iddings, 86, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 25, 2003.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow G. Lovern and is

survived by three sons, Kenneth G. Lovern, David W. Lovern and his wife, Sandra, Robert P. Lovern and his wife, Iris; four daughters, Rebecca L. Cooper and her husband, Henry, Betty L. Fink and her husband, Jerry, Shirley Lovern, Bonnie M. Lovern; one sister, Lillian Jane; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2003, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Charles Hoffler officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to recognize her grandson, W.G. Lovern and his wife, Tamra, for their special care given to their mother in her final days. And also a special thanks to Carilion Hospice. Arrangements by Oakey's Vinton Chapel (982-2221).

Mr. Iddings was owner of the Iddings Real Estate and Building Masters, a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Navy, and a member of the Blacksburg Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and Sunday School Director.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Maxey Iddings; three children, Linda I. Robinson and husband, Mike, Roanoke, Judy I. Pack and husband, James, Charlotte, N.C., and Frank G. Iddings Jr. and wife, Kathy, Stephens City; four grandchildr en, Donna R. Lanier, David M. Robinson Jr., and Diana M. Robinson, all of Roanoke, Kaylen E. Iddings, Stephens City; one great-grandchild, William Chase Lanier II; one brother, Daniel E. Iddings, Roanoke; two sisters, Virginia Lovern, Fincastle, Lillian Schindler, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Blacksburg Baptist Church, with Dr. Ray Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 446, Christiansburg, VA 24073, or New River Valley Hospice, Inc., P.O. Box 10896, Blacksburg, VA 24062-896. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Iddings. She is survived by a brother, Sam Maxey; a niece, Louise Kingery; two daughters, Linda (Mike) Robinson and Judy (James) Pack; a son, Frank (Kathryn) Iddings Jr.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Oakey's South Chapel with Pastor Mike Woody of Buchanan Baptist Church officiating. A graveside service will be held 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Westview Cemetery in Blacksburg, Va. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
