Parents: Frederick Holliday. (src: transcribed marriage record – can’t verify. If she is a Holliday it would indicate she was a widow of a Cox also spelled Cock, esp. in Carroll Co., VA. Haven’t found a Holliday – Cox marriage as of June 2020 but need to keep looking. She may have had a marriage before her Cox marriage so consider a Cox/Cox to a Sarah “whatever” & if “fits” see if her surname “whatever” can’t be connected to a Holliday.

George Quesenberry, abt 1794-abt 1845, s/o Frederick & Mary (Phillips) Quesenberry. I

Family history views Owen & Enos V. Quesenberry as the unlawful s/o Tobias L. Phillips, 1828-1895, & the widow Sarah. There was reportedly another child, Decie, b. abt 1858 but as Sarah would have been over 50 & Decie is noted in 1860 with Mary (Sarah’s daughter) & in 1880 as a granddaughter of Sarah’s, I believe Dica (at least) as a daughter of Sarah is a mistake & she is actually a d/o Mary. As far as Owen & Enos, I’m not sure. Owen claimed Sarah and George as his parents on his marriage record & he was born about 1845 so possible as far as Sarah’s age is concerned but would be nice to know when George died. And Enos, when he give Sarah as his parent on his marriage record & he was b. after the 1850 census when Sarah is noted alone an apparent widow. But, for me, the question is which Sarah is his mother. Sarah, widow of George or Sarah, daughter of George & Sarah.
