Mrs. Wickham gave her heart to the Lord in her early girlhood, becoming a member of the M. E. Church, of Huffville after moving her membership to the first M.E. Church of Christiansburg, From which place her Funeral was preacher by a former pastor Rev. N. A. Conner of Roanoke, Assisted by Dr. Ford, pastor of the First M. E. Church of Roanoke and her present pastor, Rev. Wood Ward of Christiansburg, Rev. Jesse Hobbs of the F. M. Church South, had charge of the Song Service. The pall bears were: Noah Whitlock, R. H. Leckie, J. T. Welch, M. L. Vaughan, J. B. Bishop and W. M Bishop. Interment was in Sunset Cemetery Christiansburg. Beside her husband, six Children's Survive, one boy preceding her to the grave by several years. Mrs. Thomas Powell, Roanoke, Mrs. Collie Beckelhimer, Amigo W. VA.; Mrs. Archie Wickham, Roanoke; Mr. Vivien Wickham, Pontiac, Mich: Mr. Frank Wickham Cambria, Mr. Edward Wickham, Christiansburg. Also two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Payne, Pilot; Miss John Wickham Oxford, Pa. Two brothers James Epperly, Christiansburg, and Charles Epperly of Pilot. Mrs. Wickham had been ill for nearly Eleven month. Everything possible in Human power was done for her. Mary was born June 28, 1905, in Pilot, Va., a daughter of the late Noah Epperly and Maude Payne Epperly. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Theodore Jennings, and children, Ellen Marie Rahall, Joe Alvin Jennings, Lawrence Jennings, Jackson T. Jennings Jr., Paul Dean Jennings, and Nancy Pat Ashcraft. Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Polly Hoffman of Pennsville, N.J.; two sons, Billy Ray Jennings of Cunard, and Ted Jerome Jennings of Bedford, Va.; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Service will be 12 noon on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at the Cunard Baptist Church, with the former Pastor Winston ONeal officiating, and where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of the service. (src: Find A Grave) Lois Epperly Carr, 94, of Roanoke, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, April 11, 2007. She was the widow of Sherman S. Carr and was preceded in death by a son, Richard W. Carr; daughter, Shirley C. Krista; three sisters and a brother. A longtime member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Salem, she served in the choir for 65 years and among her many offices was lay leader. Mrs. Carr was retired as the bookkeeper from Tarpley's, Inc. in Salem. Lois loved to sew and was especially fond of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her son-in-law, John P. Krista and wife, Gaynell; grandchildren, Michael C. Krista and wife, Tina of Goodview, Cynthia K. Hayes , Andrew S. Carr and Timothy W. Carr, all of Roanoke; five greatgrandchildren, Tyler, Mikaela and Hannah Krista, Nicole Hayes and Xavier Carr; sister, Gertrude Jennings of Fayetteville, W.Va.; numerous nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law, V.T. Carr and wife, Ruth of Abingdon. Memorials may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 845 Hemlock Rd., Salem, Va. 24153. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 16, 2007, at Calvary United Methodist Church. The Rev. Emory Tarpley and the Rev. David Boger will officiate. Lane, Axton, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at her home. She was born in West Virginia on June
13, 1932, to Asa Garland Epperly Sr. and Helen Bess Epperly. In addition to
her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Keatts. A resident of the Axton community of
Pittsylvania County most of her life, she graduated from Brosville
High School, and was employed as an auditor for Tultex
for 20 years. She was a member of Sugar Tree Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Keatts Robertson of Axton; three sons, James Everett Keatts of Axton, Garland Edward Keatts
of Martinsville and Frank Keatts Jr. of Axton; a
brother, Garland Epperly of Westover Hills; 11 grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday
at Swicegood Funeral Home with Elder J.R. Rakes
officiating. Burial will be in the Keatts family
cemetery in Axton. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8:30
p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the home on F.E. Keatts Lane. Memorials may be made to Sugar Tree

1421 Blair Loop Road, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007 at 3300 Church Road, Java.
He had been in declining health for two years. Born March 7, 1935 in Roanoke, he was
the son of the late Asa Garland Epperly Sr. and the late Helen Bess Epperly. He spent most of his life in Danville.
He was a loom fixer in Dan River Mills, Inc. for 44 years before retiring,
and then was associated with Piedmont Custom Conversions. He loved racing and
raced sprint cars for many years. He was of the Baptist faith. He married the late Hazel Collie
Epperly on March 7, 1974, she died on Nov. 10, 2000. He is survived by one son, Asa Garland
Epperly III, of Danville. In addition to his wife, he was
predeceased by one sister, Mary Elizabeth Keatts;
one step-sister, Lucille Pickeral;
and one step-brother, Paul Epperly. A graveside service will be held at 2
p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29 at Danville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Michael
Jones officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday at Wrenn-Yeatts
Westover Chapel, at other times the family will be at the residence, 1421
